  • SMH poll - Should the Roosters axe coach Brian Smith?

    Ladies and gents,
    Have your say at http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league.
Personally, I don't think sacking the coach will help matters.

Why the fark are they running this poll? Where is the poll asking the following ...
Should the Raiders axe coach David Furner?
Should the Titans axe coach John Cartwright?

Who works for the Herald? Gould is such an arsehole some times. probably a gee up for his "good mate" Smithy.

We need to break the cycle of sacking coaches when things go wrong as a first port of call. Smith needs to put his system in place for more than 12-18 months.

                Just how Newspapers make money.

The Yahoo7 website today had the banner headline "Roosters hold Crisis Talks" and the story was Braith talking about how the players had a "truth meeting" (most clubs are good for 2-3 of these a year these days).

Smith will not be sacked and the only place this discussion is happening is online and in pubs.

I'm not saying he played no part at all. Obviously he had a part in it. But it's looking more likely now that it was more a fluke than anything else, a honeymoon period, looking like a genius compared to Freddy. There's no question that the second year is more of s test of ones coaching ability than the first year. The signs this year are far from good.

The discussion is not limited to the places that you mentioned. But you are right, he wont be sacked. I guess another month of more pathetic losses may change that somewhat.

it seems that none of the roosters players have stuffed up for awhile but the newspapers have to keep them in the news

Ok, so if last year is a fluke, then changes that are being made need to be adhered to by those involved, the club cannot be held to ransom by whinging and moaning about change. They need to get on the Bus.

Following on from anasta's interview today, let's hope they wear the right polo top on the bus.

Well, you're the insider. If you are right and this is discussion within the club, then god help us all.
