Things are still a little tense in the Chookpen, let's talk something else

    1. Tedesco
    2. Fergo
    3. Jenko
    4. Morris
    5. Roberts
    6. Austin
    7. Reynolds
    8. Woods
    9. Farah
    10. Tamou
    11. Scott
    12. Cordner
    13. Gallen

    14. Moylan
    15. Klemmer
    16. Frizell
    17. Cartwright

Maloney, Jackson, Fifita, Merrin and Bird replacing those with clouds over their heads

Well that wasn't very stress relieving

I understood Pearce's criticism but my god, I think Blues may need him more than we do right now.

I hate Origin. It completely stuffs up the season - all for 3 midweek games of footy.

        1. Tedesco
        2. Mansour
        3. Jenko
        4. Dugan
        5. Roberts
        6. Maloney
        7. Reynolds
        8. Tamou
        9. Farah
        10. Woods
        11. Cordner
        12. Gallen
        13. Merrin
        14. Jack bird
        15. Greg bird
        16. Klemmer
        17. Frizell/fifita

I think the backline of 1-5 would really sorry qld with their pace and size. The halves are the let down as always. Think jack bird should be the utility as he can be blooded for the future and covers more positions than moylan. Think moylan would genuinely challenge teddy if he hadn't been out injured for so long though. If fifita dropped 10kgs and just stopped being a **** wit in the play the ball he'd be a walk up but he just plays like a retard.

          Merrin is a Myth.

Daley will go with his 2014 halves pairing Hodko/Grub

Cartwright has to be in the 17!

I think a number of players listed above are toxic and past their use by date - Farah, G Bird, Gallen

Who will be QLD's FB? Inglis, Boyd, Morgan

I'd go Boyd. Out of form Binglis in the centres. Morgan bench utility.

I absolutely love origin. It's how football should be played and refereed. I really, really rate Cartwright. But mistakes are so costly in origin. You can't be forcing offloads that don't come off and gift qld possession. For that reason I can't have him just yet. Would have him at the chooks in a heartbeat where there's more opportunity for high risk high reward footy. As for farah, there just isn't anymore options at hooker for nsw. I don't mind hodko at half. I think he cops shit unnecessarily. Josh Reynolds isn't good enough. Can't pass the ball. Don't believe merrin is a myth. Just don't think coaches have worked out how to play him. Gallen is a must. I hate the bloke and think he's a cheat but he has a big motor and will go forward. Also, I'll change Greg bird for Paul Vaughan.

State of Origin has not been interesting since season 1994

The New South Wales Blues team for game 1 of the 1994 State of Origin series was as follows:

                Tim Brasher
                Graham Mackay
                Brad Fittler
                Paul McGregor
                Rod Wishart
                Laurie Daley
                Ricky Stuart
                Glenn Lazarus
                Ben Elias
                Ian Roberts
                Paul Sironen
                Paul Harragon
                Brad Mackay

                Andrew Ettingshausen
                Chris Johns
                David Gillespie
                David Barnhill

                Coached by Phil Gould

I personally do not believe that there is one played named in the opening statement that is superior to their positional counterpart from the 1994 series.

The weak link in the team is Graham Mackay

I think Daley needs to pick a team that can score points hence why Cartwright should be selected regardless of his occasional error. Wade Graham is another one i'd consider.A ball-playing fullback is a big step in the right direction.

Trying to grind out a win based around a solid defensive team rarely works against the current QLD side. You need to apply pressure through scoring points .Gals pointless hit ups on the 4th (when the halfback is screaming for the ball) have been detrimental to both NSW and the Sharks over the years.

fergos done nothin, boyds done nothing and jnr has done nothing. none will be picked for ori9in. no rooster contributions to ori9in. Napa is out of qld. move on , and we will eagerly wait for another compelling thread to arise

                      17. Bird

wouldn't have Dugan in the team as to injury probe and is really slow getting up to play the ball. Merrin is old news and really hasn't made an impact the last couple of years. Morris out of form and to me is past his best. If they don't go with Beau Scott then I would give Mitch Aubusson a run as he can be that extra forward / utility option if needed.

I like your team but dugan was man of the series last year and killed it. It's easy to look shit in the dragons team. Put him around decent players and he kills it.

Don't know who is injured or suspended apart from our guys so this might be a little off but I think it should be something like this:

                          1. Josh Dugan (Tough call with Tedesco playing really well and a lot of people calling for Coote to play as well. Dugan slots in simply because he's solid, consistent and has that big match experience that you want from a fullback. He's not a game winner but he's solid and NSW can do a lot worse than solid)

                          2. James Roberts (He has been good enough for about a year now and hasn't got the call up. Blistering speed which is something I feel NSW really lacked last year and probably should have made the team last year before both Hopoate and Tupou. Also, at just 23 if we blood him now we've got a good option there for the next 5 years. Good defender also)

                          3. Josh Morris (Usually plays left but has said himself he can play both sides and has done so for NSW before. Pretty much the best centre NSW has to offer along with Jennings so it's obvious he gets the nod)

                          4. Michael Jennings (Just like Morris, he'll play for Australia in the ANZAC Test and should make Origin unless he's injured)

                          5. Josh Mansour (Another guy who has probably been unlucky to miss out for the past year or two. Got the Australia call up a couple of years back and is playing well enough right now for Penrith to get a wing spot for NSW)

                          6. James Maloney (Played well in 2013 for NSW and I know Daley loves using experienced players. Maloney was probably unlucky to miss out in both 2014 and 2015 but with him playing well at the Sharks and a history of playing well for NSW he's probably our best choice right now)

                          7. Adam Reynolds (Lots of options here with Sezer, Hodkinson and Pearce all likely to be considered but Adam Reynolds has an amazing kicking game and we've struggled with great kicking for a lot of years now. Reynolds has a good enough kicking game that we could score points from his attacking kicks which NSW hasn't offered for awhile. Also, a phenomenal goal kicker which is obviously important)

                          8. Aaron Woods (I know he's hurt but he's aiming to play Origin and should be selected if fit. He's one of our best props and has never let New South Wales down.)

                          9. Robbie Farah (Some people don't rate him but I do. Peats isn't quite ready yet and Farah has great experience and hasn't really let NSW down a lot in his years of playing with the team. Ennis played game 3 last year and wasn't great which means Farah should walk in with the 9 jersey)

                          10. James Tamou (Always played well for NSW, regularly plays for Australia and is playing well at his club which warrants selection. I'd pick him even if he wasn't in form but he is which helps)

                          11. Greg Bird (A lot of people don't like him but he's solid and brings that Origin toughness that coaches like. In a good team like NSW he can be very dangerous for the opposition and he's always been solid for NSW)

                          12. Ryan Hoffman (Not playing great at his club from what I've seen but for the past two years when he's been playing for NSW he's been close to our best and he should still be selected based on that)

                          13. Paul Gallen (C) (Always going to be selected, probably our best choice at lock. Easy selection)

                          14. David Klemmer (He's a tough guy and hates Queensland. Runs hard for his club every week, did a job on QLD last year and should be here again. Adds something special off the bench)

                          15. Andrew Fifita (Right now I think Fifita gets the nod but this spot is open to Trent Merrin also. I'm going with Fifita because Merrin really let us down last year but he could very well be there if he hits some great form)

                          16. Tyson Frizzell (Good player and unlucky to miss out last year. Lots of potential guys here to take it such as Wade Graham, Luke Lewis, Josh Jackson and a couple of others but he's big, he's fast and he's a good player who deserves a run)

                          17. Blake Austin (Gallen is going to need 10-15 minutes off at some point which is when Austin should enter the game. He's a great runner and is a phenomenal attacking player. Great impact off the bench and a great cover for the halves, hooker, second row and lock. Throwing him on midway through the second half for 10-15 minutes could do some damage.

Don't think roosters2015 has enough points in his side. I just couldn't have Josh Morris. He's a solid player with good defence but offers nothing in attack at all.
