We cant afford to keep playing blokes out of position. Minichiello is useless...stick him on the wing if we have to keep him and put Pritchard at FB. Then again...scratch that...against Vatuvai Minichiello will end up looking like a pizza base.

    Just drop The Moth already.

Graham is better than Naughton...and should've been picked.

Anasta should be 5/8...the big Warriors forwards will 'eat' him in the pack...and run all over our lightweight pack.

Mini to the wing, he'd handle the Warriors wingers no problem.
      T Carney to FB.

We can still make the 8, we shouldn't be trialling rookies.

Carney to fullback & Anasta at 6 would be the best scenario. Unfortunately Carney doesn't seem to want to play at 1. He's not the type of personality that can willingly jsut go and play where's best for the team. I think Braith is similar. After struggling with one on one defence and then the high ball, it was reported as being at Carney's request that he was moved to 6 v. Warriors last year (more than suspicious that Anasta then pulled out with a late hammy strain). He then hit his straps and the team followed. I wish Todd would willingly move to fullback because then the roosters could field 6 real forwards to get better momentum and play more direct early in a set, as well as keep Anasta at 6 to utilise his keys strengths, which I think are passing and kicking. Looking outside in, Carney is not in the right frame of mind to move to fullback right now either. He's still a little tentative, making errors and getting frustrated. Last year he exploded out of the blocks in game 1 v. Souths, then was a bit up and down, then hit his straps at 6. For an injury depleted side missing some key players like Aubs, Conn in central field defence, Sammy P in the early hit up, M Kennedy (our best forward this season), the defence has been strong. I recall when Jack Gibson would get the "please come to help" call from Jones, first step to stop the rot was get defence in order. Expect more dummy half running ealry in the tackle count, less expansive play in our end of the field in matches after this week. Obviosuly no one wants to play the Warriors up the middle for the full 80 minutes.
