Soward schooled our kids today.
Not sure why trent persists with niko, and hastings kicking game is one of the worst I've seen in first grade this year, does he know what the touchlines are for?
Oh well, at least now the season is officially over, 1-7 in the 1st third of the season. Need 12 wins out of the next 16 games to play finals.

We should still hopefully beat the dragons next week but we aren't going to be troubling the title again till we find some better ball players.
Soward too experienced for us.

Proud of the effort tonight. We competed well. But god we were stupid a lot of the time too. Mitchell needs to calm down with the passing in his own half. Heart attack stuff. He's lucky he has skills to make up for it because he lacks brains.
Apart from that, couple of players who are really pissing me off are: i) Friend and ii) Toops
The latter needs time in reserve grade. Some really sloppy shit for someone who has decent experience now.
Friend really is trying too hard. His decision making leaves a lot of us scratching our heads

They are young, but so have been plenty of other halves. If you are good, your age doesn't matter. If not for his name Hastings would not be getting the latitude and protection from criticism that he gets from our club and fans.

Friend is killing himself out there and yes he will make mistakes but at least he tries his heart out unlike some drunk that's supposed to be out there but getting paid lots to sit out until whenever he returns. As if he is going to be our saviour. He should have been fined $500,000 for being a dick. Our only hope if we still have any is when we get JWH & Cordner back.

Don't think the majority of the team played that poorly. Latrell made a couple of errors but was really solid, got a couple of tries and looked dangerous with the ball in hand. Hastings was solid as well but a lot of us seem to forget that he's only had 20 odd NRL matches and only about 10-15 as a starter. He's still learning at his level and without an experienced half alongside him he's done pretty well so far this year, can't be too hard on him. Guerra, Aubusson, SKD, Ferguson, Moa, Friend (For the majority of the game) and a majority of the boys did pretty well.
Now to the bad stuff. Daniel Tupou, made one break which I think lead to a try in the same set. Apart from that it was dumb decision after dumb decision/ Every time they kicked to him I found myself cringing, each time he had the ball I was cringing and that's out of fear he'd drop it or do something dumb. Whilst you can excuse Latrell Mitchell for making a dumb move or two due to inexperience a guy with caps for Australia, New South Wales and 70-80 games for the Roosters shouldn't be making dumb moves anymore. This guy has won an Origin series and a grand final, he shouldn't be so rocks and diamonds. I'm not sure I'd replace him just yet but if he doesn't improve once Pearce comes back I think he should be dropped with Joe Burgess being put out there.
Nikorima just isn't ready for first grade. His strength is his running game but I don't remember him even attempting a run tonight. All I remember from him was rushed passes when nothing was on and him missing tackles. In the final 20 when we desperately need points you need a guy with pace to take the line on and get something going. He didn't do that, I think he'll be great in a year or two but Watson played for a lot less time and did a lot more than Nikorima. Maybe Watson is the guy we want next week playing six until the return of Pearce.
