Not sure what that watson kid was chosen for, trent put us down to 14 men by choosing niko and watson.

Play watson over nikorima, or start guerra at 5/8 for 30min like he has the past few games and then bring niko on.

Nikorima just isn't ready for first grade. His strength is his running game but I don't remember him even attempting a run tonight. All I remember from him was rushed passes when nothing was on and him missing tackles. In the final 20 when we desperately need points you need a guy with pace to take the line on and get something going. He didn't do that, I think he'll be great in a year or two but Watson played for a lot less time and did a lot more than Nikorima. Maybe Watson is the guy we want next week playing six until the return of Pearce.

A part of the issue with young halves is that they're coached into too much structure. Nikorima seems to be dying in it and can't play his natural game.

Friend is killing himself out there and yes he will make mistakes but at least he tries his heart out unlike some drunk that's supposed to be out there but getting paid lots to sit out until whenever he returns. I reckon the ref shouldve given us 10 penalties in the second half for offside...I laughed when at the end he gave Penrith a penalty for us offside .Thought it was week reffing in the second half.

Our only hope realistically is to avoid the spoon. That's all we are playing for now, at least in other sports you could start tanking now, but since there isn't any first round draft picks or salary cap benefits to gain from it, i would be happy to finish 3rd last.

Absolutely. Made the most talked about player in recent weeks in Bryce Cartwright his bitch. Carty was quiet all game in attack as Aidan took many good hard runs his way and made him tackle a lot which sapped his attack.

Think a fair few people on here are being a little pessimistic. I for one was very proud of the effort tonight. Soward would single handedly beat most teams in that sort of weather tonight and we defended extremely admirably (our defence is unrecognisable in the past 2 weeks compared to the first few rounds). I agree that Nikorima isn't up to first grade standard but I think he will come into his own in the second half of the season when our full strength forward pack will have tired out the opposition and he can come on with 20 to go and cause some damage. Latrell really got more involved and made us look like a much more dangerous outfit.

People writing off the season need to slow down a bit I think. Cordner and JWH should be back next week and Pearce the following week, and if we play like that against the Dragons, Knights and Titans we will win all 3 and be 4-6 with pretty much a full strength, and ever improving, side. If we can win the next 3, looking at our squad, I would definitely back us to go 8-6 for the rest of the season.

My one continuing negative with our game is just that we just don't get the ball to Fergo enough. Give him a good pass 10m out and he will score 80% of the time. He just doesn't get stopped from there when he gets a good pass. He should be getting a good opportunity 10m out every time we're attacking the opposition line but it's just happening far too rarely. If used properly, he is really the type of player that adds 10-12 points a game.

Give credit where it is due - Soward choked us out of the game with his kicking game. If it wasn't for his master class in the last 15, I have no doubt we would have won.

Soward annoys the hell out of me but yeh, his game management in the final period of the game was top shelf.
