Carney has no looked like half the player he was last year.

He has been poor barring one or two highlights.

He has continued to play lateraly this year and teams have figured it out. He essentially cuts off his outside man's space by crabbing across field. Teams just have to hold their line as they rush him and he is nullified.

He hasn't the best supporting cast around him but he is not excused entirely. Some of his decisions in attack and defence have been diabolical. He is a powerful runner of the ball, if he can straighten and put the opposition in two minds, he will be lethal.

I hate comparing players, but look at Thurston play over the years at the Cows. At times, playing with reserve graders, he always managed to shine. Too bad his shoulders gave out from all the weight of the team he had to carry each week.

Gee i always wonder if we gave Thursto a chance (a good chance he would of turned into an alcoholic). He in my opinion will go down as a better player than Lockyer, Johns and Freddo.

BigMike....can't agree. There is no better player than Freddy!
We need what Dice has outlined. Find our 2 fastest for the wings and choose the best centres.

Of course, we don't have to give away penalties, the refs soon find ones for 'nothing'.

1-7, 1-6 first half + penalties against us, we're simply being refereed out of games while our oppositions only have to attack all night with the ball.

Carney has been, and if you ask me still is to a degree...injured.
        ...just holding together.

"Oh no, Carney went out drinking when he was supposed to be at home...I'm so angry with him I won't be able to play proper footy for the rest of the year.
He should not have done that as my delicate mind cannot cope with such a thing."

These players dwelling on "Carney" are a joke.

They should forget about "Carney" and go do some passing and catching practice...to a player behind them.

How can you build an attacking game with our completion rate and giving away penalties. You can't. It has absolutely nothing to do with the speed of our wingers.
He played one game on the Wing last year. Surely you should know which one.

I don't think that there's anything wrong with Brandys comments. I'm sure that any other fans or even neutrals would give us buckleys chance. At the end of the day, our players and tactics have let us down. I too keep tipping the Roosters thinking they'll win but for 8 games out of the 11, I have been proven wrong. I too think we'll make the eight but only because I follow the club, not because I have faith.

The Bulldogs in 2002 had compiled a highly illegal team by reportedly paying most/many of the players double their contract money, or such.
Had they had to stay under the cap and pay the right price, they wouldn't have had the team they did and wouldn't have won as many games and wouldn't have been on anywhere near as many points.
                      Cheats, they were punished.
Anyway, we smashed them a few months later in 2003, minus many of our stars from 2002.

8 teams getting stripped of points?

                      Hopefully!
