have you seen him play for the tahs recently? he is well past it. we should never have let him go to the force - he was awesome for the first few years but this season is a different story. I for one dont really understand why people are so keen to add centres and wingers to our side. the only position in the backline which we need to look at filling is fullback when mini leaves. the halves are obviously fine but i for one cant see whats wrong with this:
        2. Linnett
        3. BJ
        4. SKD
        5. Perrett

with younger guys like blair, moga, wells coming through i think we are ok across the 3/4 line. if pritchard goes well this weekend imo, there will be most certainly no need for another centre or winger. if he doesnt then maybe a winger but thats a big maybe. imo our backline is very good. the pack is what we need to improve - not very well balanced and lacking a few essential ingredients. Id love to see:
        8. JWH
        9. Friend
        10. Kennedy
        11. Maubs
        12. Guerra
        13. Heighington

        14. Symonds
        15. new prop
        16. Tasi/Masoe
        17. Nuuausala/Cherrington

with conn, arona, anthony mitchell, cordner and lowe for depth. just quietly, i think the club that we should look at getting players from in the forwards is undoubtedly the cowboys. they have some awesome young forwards in the 20s and plenty of depth across the park as well. I would love to see the sims boys in RWB and also see us sign little brother korbin from newcastle as well. Tamou would always be welcome back imo and in the backrow, bolton would be an excellent acquisition as well.

Melon, we may as well run out onto the field with 12 players !!!!

Quentin, for all his star qualities, was a hog !! his winger would catch more colds than they would passes because his passing was NON EXISTANT !!!

I'd prefer Cross in a wheelchair ahead of J Carney.

Ryan Cross is a thousand times better than anyone we've got. Anyone who thinks otherwise has NFI.

Yep let's sign up a rising 32 year old injury prone hog who hasn't played NRL for 5 years.
Give him a four year contract.

And good off the field too!

Now it's Justin Carney to the rescue

Roosters winger Justin Carney saved the life of a mother of three from the surf at North Bondi on Monday.

Carney, 22, was completing a team recovery session when he noticed Jacqueline Urquhart in distress 100m from shore.

He raced from the sand and swam through the undertow to reach the 48-year-old and drag her to safety.

After being reunited with her saviour at North Bondi yesterday, Ms Urquhart said she thought her time had come until Carney came to her rescue.

She had been dragged beyond a sand bar by the swirling sea while going for her daily dip.

"I thought I was gone . . . until he came I thought I was going to die at Bondi Beach," Ms Urquhart said yesterday.

A humble Carney described the feat as a "decent training run".

"I just saw she was in trouble and did what I had to do," he said.

                          >>>>> >>>>> >>>>>

He just needs some good coaching and to play in a team that's got some idea how to attack...and how to set up the backs.
