I'm hoping that Matterson actually gets some good game time. He needs at least 15 mins per half, with Friend coming off and Hastings going to hooker.

of course pearce needs to come back...were 1 and 7...yea were all mad at him but by god we need an experienced half with a decent kicking game, i just hope peoplecdont get to carried away with this matterson kid to early...nice debut but lets let him develop and dont compare him to previius greats like what happened to anasta...also season starts now for mine...if were bottom 3 come last round then yea serious questions need to be asked of senior players and coach...i hope this scenario does not eventuate

The cavalry have arrived!

Pearce being there changes everything. He's comfortable organising everything, and Hastings can just roam and not have the pressure of having to do everything. Plus it gives us two decent options either side of the ruck. Pearce should also give our attack more width with his passing game, so Im expecting to see the likes of SKD, Ferguson and the wingers getting the ball more often and quicker than they would if it were Hastings or Nikorima at first receiver. Everything changes him being there, we should tighten up in defence, our attack should function much better, this really is the start of our season this weekend.

The fact we have JWH on the bench with Cordner back in the starting lineup is a bonus.

He adds variety plus size and hopefully allows Friend to get a rest as SOH can play some minutes at 9.

If the team starts to win I may find it hard to get back into it cuzzies!
