With pearce and jwh coming back, i wonder how match fit they are and how many minutes jwh will play.

I will only believe a win v the Knights when i see it. There is nothing to suggest an easy win.

Cordner played close to 80 mins in his first game back and was our 2nd best behind Matto.

Pearce should be fine and JWH prob get 30 minutes or so of inspiration.

The photos from the Captains run today showed SST having a run around. Does anyone know whether he might be a late inclusion or how he is going with his knee injury? Admittedly his knee was heavily strapped. Also, Tupou was in full motion in at least one photo - is he actually injured; does anyone know?

This is just about our strongest team that we can field minus Siosiua Taukeiaho and perhaps Daniel Tupou. I would like to think that we will start putting in some more consistent performances and score a few more wins.

What do we need for the 8... 11/16 or something ay? Can pretty much rule that out, but I hope we can make ourselves comfortably clear of the 8 and do a few upsets. Would love to see us tear down the Broncos and Cowboys - IMO they aren't as good as the hype - they just have no salary cap and refs who are favourable to them. We've got more raw talent and will come good soon IMO.

Pending on jwhs knee and further injuries I wouldn't think 11/16 is out of the question.

It is probably too much of an ask to win 11 of the remaining 16 matches but our team I believe has the ability for a 5 game winning streak so anything is possible to happen but I think that the Canberra Raiders, Auckland Warriors and St George Dragons losses will cost us a finals spot unless the Parramatta Eels are kicked out of the finals.

It's a team sport. He ****ed up but there are more than one reason we are positioned where we are. And no doubt if he were here we'd be positioned higher accounting for the other circumstances. But there are still 17 men out there and at least 4 games were there for the taking.

You are right about it being an abysmal competition. This is also the reason we are still in the hunt for the 8. Tonight we could be sitting just two games out of the 8, with a near full-strength side, and the potential of Parra being booted out of the comp.

I hope Pearce really does play well coz he owes this team, the club & supporters big time.. I'm happy for Hastings who won't have to be everything we have in attack, finally he'll get some help.. But I think that we'd be better served with Pearce @ 6 & Hastngs @ 7.  Late news on Foxsports said that Toupou is still out due to side strain.

Hi TheBigFella,

I would be curious to hear why you believe Mitchell Pearce should play at 6 and Jackson Hastings should play at 7? Personally I believe that Pearce is more suited to guiding the team around and Hastings would be better served at this stage of his career to play a supporting role and being involved a little less but having more freedom to play when he does get involved. I believe he is far too inexperienced to be leading the team around and needs to develop his game a bit more.

I'm looking forward to seeing what young Hastings can do now that he will hopefully not have the huge pressure of guiding a team around and he can play his natural game.
