There was another match where Trent Robinson and I believe Anthony Minichiello spoke out about the lay down tactics of other teams but I cannot recall which match that was. I don't know why it is all of a sudden being spoken about now because it was not a topic of discussion in any of the previous times our coach has brought it up.

Soccer has a few things right.

-Yellow card and foul against a player deemed to be 'simulating' in attempts to draw a foul
-If a player stays down and requires treatment, they are moved out of play, adn not allowed to come back on till the next break in play. Leaving them down to 10 men, unless a sub is used. Imagine if this was applied in Rugby League, if a player stays down to draw a penalty they are either; taken off with an interchange, or moved to the side of the field and play will commence for a few minutes until the next break in play.
This would stop players laying down 'needing treatment' attempting to draw a penalty

The fact that players cop a knock and be apparently knocked out, but then can resume play without a concussion test really bugs me

And if a player genuinely or otherwise hurt, is treated on the field he must leave the field of play once he stands and come back when the referee decides it is appropriate.

Well in theory he won't be 100% right to continue the game if he is still shaken from a knock, give the club docs all the time in the world to assess him on the sideline and allow the game to go on

its not just about the penalty its about a free interchange as well
