There's no replacing Politis - the guy has equity in the game (and I'm not talking about money).

The minute he's gone we're ****ed.

Our best hope is to install a puppet in the top job; a Quayle, Schubert or Gould, who will work with whomever replaces Politis (probably Bouris or Gyng) and creates policy that favours an Eastern Suburbs side.
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

I for one am content to say, once Nick goes and this club dies, I was there for 50 years of Easts. Play on...

Surely Bouris has more money and political power than uncle Nick? Nick just has that 'Greekness' about him... he knows how to impress people with his tongue and has the natural instict when it comes to stitching together sweet deals.

His passion for sports is what I haven't seen from any other potential candidates. He understands the game, turns up to games/training and simply loves his footy. I dunno if too many eastern suburbs businessmen love their footy? Ibrahim maybe? But he's too sleazy so nobody would let him in...
