Jayden Nikorima needs to develop his game in the lower grades.

Don't bet on it. His attitude is still questionable, and some of our management is less than impressed.... hence our interest in other halves on the market like Coote and Norman.

If his contribution becomes particularly valuable, he might be worth persevering with, but otherwise there are some not willing to put up with his ego.

I read that story with interest, as it gave credence to my own suspicions.

Essentially, I had come to this conclusion from my own observations, principally that:

• Any celebrations by team mates when Hastings does something good seem to be strangely muted compared to others.
• His own comments in a recent interview that (I'll paraphrase) 'he had grown as a man, but still had work to do' indicates that he is still being called out on attitude, behaviour or ego.
• Our apparent strong interest in halves options, when it appears that Pearce has been accepted back with open arms by all and sundry.

So I've drawn my own conclusions based on the above. If anyone has a more logical explanation I'm happy to listen.

But watch carefully and I think you'll agree, he just doesn't seem to get the same reaction out of his teammates as others do. I think that says a lot.

And some people thought you must have some close association with some of our management.

He is involved in team celebrations when tries are scored and players do congratulate him when he sets up a try. Do you expect everyone to run up to him and pat him on the back when he scores a goal?

Thanks for the clarification. I think in future you need to make it clearer when you are expressing a personal opinion as the way you originally worded your comments made it appear to me that you had an inside source or had read something more official from the club somewhere.

I don't think anyone on this forum has any inside info on anything. It is all conjecture, opinion, here say & idle gossip. I think everyone should understand that.

I did, however, express my opinion poorly, and if I misled anyone I apologise.
