Wasn't that money being kept aside for the former Eels player? Seriously the position we are weakest in is the outside backs. I am not one for spending a lot of money on Wingers but I wouldn't mind Semi. Maybe swap Guerra for Manu Mau.

Same, I like Norman but he doesn't fit unless the club parts with an existing member of the halves and that will not happen mid season.

Semi Radradra is a fantastic player but I believe we really miss Michael Jennings' defence and his runs out of our own end of the field. He had formed a very good partnership with Daniel Tupou who now seems lost without Jennings and we also miss Jennings' pace.

This. Jennings' importance in defence has always been underestimated, as is the space he creates for those around him in attack.



Just throwing it out there that Parra no longer have the "cap space" to fit Jarryd Hayne...

I think Hayne and Sonny are more likely to be playing for us this year than Jennings. It was well publicised that he wanted a club closer to his home.

I'd take Semi. If memory serves me correctly, he signed an extended, upgraded contract last year which saw him go up to about 250 - 300k. I don't think they will get rid of him though. I think you will find that they shed forwards and not backs. They are already light in the halves (with Foran on indefinite leave and their reserve half, Kelly, out for the season). They won't be releasing their centres either - Taka being one, who currently plays five eighth for them and Jennings the other.

Jennings has a contract - a four year one at that. He won't sign else where unless that is honoured - either in full by a new club or partly subsidised by Parramatta. If push comes to shove, he can easily do what Farah did and stay the course and earn his quid there because others won't be able to afford him (on a four year deal). I don't see us signing him.

The easiest players to move on would be players 16 through to 26 in your top squad.

I think we have some of the best outside backs in the game?

1. Latrell... future star who is finding great form
2. Burgess... UK international
3. Aubo... country Origin player
4. Fergo... an incumbent Kangaroo
5. SKD... Kiwi international

Obviously we've had a poor start to 2016... I don't need to repeat the reasons why. IMO by the end of the season our form will be equivalent to that of a top 4 team.

I say keep the cash for a marquee signing. Maybe it won't be Hayne, Coote, SBW...etc. Like Jennings, I think a star will become disgruntled with his current club SOME TIME over the next 12 months. It's good having some money in the bank for when they come knocking.

That's going to be tough Spirit, it's nearly $600k of talent, these toilers won't walk unless they receive matched or better deals elsewhere. (highly unlikely if they are toilers)

I expect them to lose 1 big name over this, Norman in the form he is in could get an upgraded long-term contract from another club such as the Titans or Dragons no problems.
