And he has been even worse this season.

You can quote ALL the stats you want still doesn't make you a league expert otherwise go and do the job. The 'Experts' who are TV & radio have nothing but praise for the old guy. You my 'friend' are just a keyboard expert who probably rejoices when your point is proven right. In this case I'm sure your wanting him to drop that ball once in the game but forgets how many kicks he takes on the full or tackle he makes. I'm not saying he should be there forever but for the time being and while he's there, get of his case and show some support. Then again I may as well be talking to the wall. AND as for the Wesser stats, who cares!

If only I could rejoice when I am proven right.

I would certainly enjoy the games a lot more.

        But actually it shatters me.

And the game is all about stats.

The ones turned in by your hero over the last two years are embarrassing.

The relevance of Wesser is that many think he is garbage - yet his stats towel your boy up.

But you keep cheering the dumb passes, dropped balls, slow kick returns, lack of tries and one line break every four games.

Because what would I know - after all I am no more than a keyboard expert.

I would love to be proven wrong.

Maybe when he replaces Dugan he will come back with a spring in his step.

Bumped into Mini in town yesterday.

He was relieved about the win on Saturday. Seems they are hanging on every win.

Posed with street shoppers and signed for my son (fave player of his). His missus took some photos. A more down to earth couple you'll never meet. For that he is a champion and a legend. From the brief chat we did have, he was massively relieved to win Saturday....but if his tone/body language was anything to go by, they dont know where their next win will come from. I reckon the real difference well see now that certain player's futures have been settled....and so the team can settle and get their minds on the job like they did on Saturday. Defence is really starting to click....and for all the blunders in attack, there is a plan and it is coming along.

                Dont panic yet....it smells ominous.

Im sick of everyone giving crap to mini, he is a club legend and probally our best player. he is one of the most amazing players to grace the nrl paddock. he is having an amazing year, and a brilliant game vs warriors, espically under the high ball, better catches than ricky ponting. I hope we plays on for many years to come, he is sooo loyal to our great club. After what he has come back from, he should support him all the way. he bleeds red, white and blue. Spot on. No one doubts Mini has not been a legend, Mr Dude. But football wise... he is no longer a legend and we need to look at replacing him. He has been decent in 2 0r 3 games at most this year. He played well on the weekend and OK against a diabolical Knights.

                      Mini is a champion.

P.S good to see some grubber kicks from the boys tonight.

The problem is...That if a player doesn't seem to be trying, they get slammed by the armchair experts. If they try and it doesn't work out, they still get slammed. Carney has been woeful in most games he has played but the 'experts' make excuses for him. Mini tries his heart out because others aren't putting in and yet the so called experts bring out any excuse to bag the guy. He is a Roosters legend and should be given the same respect, not be ridiculed and continuously bagged for having a go.

I would try my heart out as well.

                            Doesn't mean I am a first grader.

                            Cop this.

According to Peter Tunks, this season he is in the bottom three fullbacks in the comp for each of the following:

                            Average metres on kick returns

                            Tackles missed

                            Errors

                            Tries

                            Try assists

                            Tackle busts

                            Line breaks

Now that's pretty terrible and should be case closed.

But hey, what would I know.

I am just an armchair expert.

The problem is JT, that these 'non arm chair critics' are including what Mini has done over his career ( legend, former golden boot, club great etc) in their decision as to whether we should keep him. ITS GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. Its a million dollar business and the fact he is a great club man and was a fantastic player is irrelevant. . I have never heard any of us 'arm chair critics' say Mini ISN'T a legend, or ISN'T a great club man. He is all of those things and more. The unfortunate fact is that he has only played at FG level in about 2 or 3 games this year. Your stats support that. Why is this? Coz he is getting older. He has never possessed a side step and would rather run through people. His body is saying enough. There is also the fact that the fullbacks in todays game (Dugan, Boyd, Coote, Hayne, Locke) all have something in common. They play like 5/8s. They have a lot more in their package that Mini has ever had................................despite him being a LEGEND..... AND LOVED BY MANY FOR IT (including me)

Just heard the guys on 2sm say that mini is 23rd for all fullbacks for average kick return metres this year.

That means most other team's backup or reserve fullback are even better than mini on average kick return metres.
