Yea, he hasn't been made to walk the plank, and this year is all about getting the right balance in the halves and the team as a whole.
It seems both our halves have disrupted the team from a different approach, one would be bad enough but two is unacceptable.
And there's more. Both Pearce and Hastings have a chance to do the best for the team, I feel Pearce may be on his last, whilst Jackson will be given more imo.

This is a good read........
FORMER Roosters star Kevin Hastings has made a passionate defence of his son Jackson labelling him as a “scapegoat” after the halfback was axed from the NRL.
Jackson has been a shock casualty of the Roosters’ poor start to the season, with coach Trent Robinson demoting the boom youngster to the NSW Cup. Hastings senior, who sits behind Anthony Minichiello, Luke Ricketson and Craig Fitzgibbon for games played for the tricolours, posted a series of tweets lamenting his frustrating at Jackson’s demotion.
Some of the tweets have since been deleted but in replying to people they read;
“Well looks like he has been made a scapegoat and any body who bagged him on twitter should be pleased. #wishgranted.”
“How many misreads or missed tackles on the right side compaired (sic) to Jackson’s side on the left. Way to (sic) many.”
“Very disappointed. I feel for him because I know how much work he puts in. So road trip to Wyong this week to watch him.”
“Maybe drop a forward or two who aren’t doing their put and put (Ryan) Matterson in the pack where he has played before. Big enough.”
“Maybe a couple of others could join him.”
Kevin was also none too pleased with Jackson’s halves partner Mitchell Pearce being in line for an Origin recall. “Rewarded with Origin but playing crap for the club,” he wrote.
In another tweet he said: “you believe Pearce will be in Origin. Maybe give back to Roosters. Left the responsibility on the shoulders of a 20-year-old.”
Kevin also let loose following the Roosters last-start loss to the Titans on Monday night. The return of Pearce, Boyd Cordner and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves from extended lay-offs were expected to spark the struggling side, but they slumped to a 26-6 defeat to the Gold Coast.
So lets play the blame game at the Roosters. So called experts blamed losses on the young #7. Big 3 back. Same result. Who's to blame now.
Ryan Matterson is expected to partner Pearce in the halves when the Roosters play the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium on Sunday. The Roosters have struggled for stability in the halves since James Maloney’s end of season departure and Pearce’s prolonged absence to start the season.
Hastings, Pearce, Aidan Guerra and Jayden Nikorima have all spent time in the halvesRoosters For Ever

ok, a bit off topic ... if were not chasing hayne...who the hell are we trying to sign. we have holes in our team is there anyone available / off contract if we dont start making moves we could have exactly the same problem next year...hastings dont look like the next big thing , niko to young , guerrera looks uninterested, moas lost the fire, burgess is a dud, matterson basically untested, latrell whilst talented makes a lot of errors...im very , very concerned at how quickly our team appears to have come undone and im hearing no concrete evidence of any star signings ..despite the supposed 600 k war chest...is it just me ??

Like or not the kids been dropped
For what ever reason only Robbo knows
He hasn't shone like some on here expected, some were calling for him to replace Pearce last year after he got injured
Personally I don't see the hype in him but would still like to see him succeed and excel in first grade and at this club.
IF he has an attitude problem then this will show it. He can either take it as a learning experience or can take the road his father has.
Poor form by Horrie I think, every professional athlete has hurdles or obstacles put in front of them throughout there careers, the good ones use it as motivation and the others stumble. I'm hoping he comes through this s better player and the rumours about his attitude are squashed.

It's pro football...the employer ["He who pays the piper calls the tune"] decides which employees are the best fit to win the company the prize.
The Club/coach have to decide which players they want for next season, and start making them into a winning team now, so we can begin well and find success next season.
If Jackson Hastings is not one of the players required for next season, then that's the way it is.
