Somethings are just not adding up for me.
1) why are we giving the ball to Toupo on a 20 meters tap when the opposition has had their defensive line set and waiting to belt him? Usually wingers take those kind of taps when they're trying to catch the opposition on the hop and try make plenty of ground.
2) why did Moa play only 21 mins? was he injured? also to make only 3 runs in that period in totally unacceptable for a prop.
3) why was Guerra used for only 65 mins when chosen a centre, yet used for 80 mins previously when used as a 2nd rower?
4) what's wronf with Jake Friend?Only 2 fkn runs from dummy half in over 60 mins? current day successful hookers run from dummy half and engage the markers before offloading to their support. Throwing the ball from dummy half and practising tackling all day is not a formula for success. Also many said Friend needs a breather so he can show some spark, well he didn;t play 80 mins and produced sweet FA.
5) Why not Elliot instaed of Guerra in the centres? Considering Elliot is an established centre who has played few games there last year with reasinable success, and never let the team down when asked to play this year either.Has Robbo seen the lethargic tackle attempts by Guerra lately? Is anyone doing video analysis of the games?
6) why play your mainstrike prop ( JWH) off the bench ? Is he not 100%? also why play Napa for 76 mins? Grinding him into the ground whilst playing JWH 40 mins and Moa 21 mins?
Having said all that, my take on how we are going at the moment is that whilst it makes me cry tears of blood, and ruins anything I'm doing, I still believe we have a great pool of talent, and the enforced use of so many young guns early in the year will hold them in good stead in the next year or two. Mitchell, Hastings, Watson, Matterson, Elliot, Nikorima will all blossom and the RWB flags will fly high once again.
