  • Rooster Clangers

As Roosters fans we have been privileged with some classic clangers over the years.

One of my favourites was Kurt Sherlock bombing a certain try against Canterbury when he had an unmarked Gary Freeman outside him in 1992. It cost us the match.

We will never forget SKD's pass against the Broncos in last year's semi.

Martin Kennedy slipping over from the kick off, the ball hitting his head etc. One of the best.

My current no.1 is Guerra's performance yesterday. I have never seen a player carried into touch off the opening carry in a game of rugby league, at any level.

Tupou will have an entry or two by the time he finishes his career in the tricolours.

Ha, I asked mum whose been supporting the chooks for 50 years if she'd seen any player taken out on the first hit up. It was a no and I haven't seen it lol. Perhaps Middleton could cough something up. MLK's effort is unmatched tho, led straight to conceding the morris try and we got belted by 40 or something. I can actually laugh about it now.

Can't remember who we were playing but we were down by 2 with about 2 minutes to go and Brett Finch decided to go for the touch finder on the last when we were attacking around the halfway line.

I remember a Finch field goal attempt that hit the corner post.

        Chook.

I suppose takarangis intercept attempt on south's down on their line after they just scored the first two tries to snatch that game at the death in 2011? Could rate a mention. Geez that shit me.

I have never seen it either.

I remember that Sherlock one vividly.

That twat was just happy find find touch and not hit a fan, we were the first club to supply head gear to our fans because of the risk Finch would hit them with one of his cut out passes

I cannot go past Brad "Freddy" Fittler selecting Braith Anasta to play in the fullback position one year and poor Braith put in a terrible performance.

                            Penrith.

The beginning of the end for Freddy.

I'm still trying to remember which game Finch hit the corner post with his field goal attempt. LOL

                              Hi stephenj,

I believe that Braith Anasta playing at fullback was against the Penrith Panthers out at Penrith Park because I recall Michael "AV" Jennings score a lot of tries that night. I am not sure of the year we played them however, perhaps it was season 2007.
