Interesting to hear Marty Johns comment that nikorima is rumoured to be headed back to Brisbane with older brother Kodi to join Melbourne. Only a rumour at this stage and hard to believe really. The only way I can see it happen is if the club is thinking that he isn't as close to first grade ready as they once thought and can't justify his 200k +/- price tag. Again I can't see it happening unless we're freeing up cash for a spending spree.. Which was always anticipated for 2017.

If Kodi is going to Melbourne it makes sense for Jayden. He can assume Kodis role of coming off the bench for a 20 minute spell behind a dominant forward pack and slowly adjust to first grade. Males sense from his perspective. Can learn from Milford and hunt. Better than matto and Pearce..

100% correct. He was never supposed to be a starting 5/8 he was bought to come on for Jake and add some spark. For some reason he has never been given that chance now he is not playing 5/8, We would be idiots to let him go after 1 season. Our recruitment strategy is seriously embarrassing

It's a fickle sport, only a few months ago Jacko & Nikorima were leading us to a win in England and the questions being asked were would Pearce get his spot back.

If rumours about Jackson & Jayden are true I think it suggests a concious restructure of our current First Grade squad. Both players would be well compensated and regarded as Hot Prospects, the decision to offload two promising halves may be a sign that we're looking to get an established player in at 5/8. Hayne & Norman being the most publicised.
