How is he 'mentally unstable'?

He suffers from depression. As does half of the population. It's not like he's a liability.

In his current mental state of course he would be a liability, you would not know which Foran would turn up each week, that is the last thing we need with our current lot, playing him alongside his best party buddy Pearce would be disastrous not only for the club but those 2 blokes as well

Parramatta captain Kieran Foran's season is over, with the troubled playmaker told this morning he will require major surgery on his shoulder. Foran was forced from the field in the Eels' thrilling win over Newcastle on Monday night.
Sources close to Foran have told Fairfax Media he was delivered the news on Tuesday morning that his season was now over.
