  • Watts - nearly ready to play

    @anthonywattsd
    So keen to get back on the field and play. Not far off now. Yewwww

    So who will he play for?
    He needs a release by June 30 to play with another club.
    Or will we forgive him because we have had so many injuries and risk him being around for two more years.

    I'm just going to say these three things.

    1. Keep him off the piss and he'll be a good player.
    2. He's only been accused of thumping his girlfriend.
    3. We're down to the bare bones of the club, we had to get a salary cap exemption to field a team apparently.

              We need another hooker and we need one now. Watts is a very strong defender, creative out of dummy-half and can play in the halves. If he becomes socially unacceptable, we'll just kick him out, For us It's situation no lose.

                I'm a bit each way on whether he should play or not.

                We could do with his attack at the moment but I have heard that some of the players don't get on with him. So would that cause more player rifts which I was hoping we are finally over or will they all act like professionals?

                But if he was in line to play for us, surely he would have trained with the first grade squad and the media would be all over it. So my guess is that he will be offered a release if he wants to play NRL this year.

                  He's like anyone else - innocent until proven guilty. Give him a go at the Jets and go from there.

                        ONLY? Most people can go their whole lives without being accused of such a thing.

                        Al Capone was ONLY accused of murder and such... seriously?

                          If this player would be playing for another club and the other club had to make the choice we'd be screaming murder. It's hypocritical that just because we NOW need him, we are ready to lower our standards of behaviour. Get rid of the jerk I say!

                              Don't you have standards of behaviour? Do you condone what he did? Those standards. We accepted mason even though we knew better but because we wanted to win, we accepted him and see what he caused at the club.
