Without Matterson?

Is Ryan Matterson one of those players that will always have Butterfingers? That's 3 games now where I have seen his handling is terrible. Even that near intercept. He got both hands to it.

Some players just have terrible hands for some reason. I remember as great as he was, Mark Harris used to drop the ball a lot. Maybe Matto is one of those players.

Yes, that intercept frustrated me, but could you see anyone else trying to come off their line and make an intercept?? he's done it a few times, and probably about 50% of the time it has paid off, I think it's just a matter of time and gaining experience and he'll be able to successfully take those intercepts, because it's certainly a unique trait he has got.

And I'd just like to put it out there, that "knock on" in the last couple of minutes was a joke. Yes, I'm pretty sure he didn't mean for it to go straight through his hands but nonetheless he dropped it straight onto his foot, indicating it was a kick. How the refs missed it i have no idea, i mean he has huge feet, hard to miss, and he was furious about the call, as he should be. I know I was. Lost us a decent finish to a great set that possibly could have won us the game

Well what is the rule? In general play can you fumble the ball but if hit hits your foot before the ground or another player is it play on? If you didn't mean to do it its unacceptable, you've got to be intentionally putting a kick in? What if you feigned to drop it an kick? Seems a grey area.

I like the idea of him being a 5/8 from what I saw early on, but I don't think he's a true 6 in his lack of confidence to work with his backs around him like Maloney and Freddie did,does.

Like Hastings, just a bit slow in action for a half. But still good footy players in their own right.
