I hear ya but I think we are in deep Shyte. I'm talking attitude, hunger, desire, energy, etc. we need a complete cultural shift. Really tough without true leaders and/or stars.
We need a couple of smart buys. Some luck as our better players need to be playing not out injured. And less pressure on our youngsters.
I've got no idea how this can be achieved within 12 months. Something tells me there would be clauses in Robbos contract, and the powers that be will not tolerate another year like this one.Roosters For Ever

first things first we need a captain, friend is not it i doubt his intelligence, look at smith super smart even parker makes him look dumb, im not saying drop friend im saying he can no longer lead this team, start there ... the holes centre, 5/8, even wing, thats 3 signings we need for next year

I would say even captain Friend is no longer safe. And I have no idea where we are gonna find a classy 5/8 centre and winger.
Fergo should be that centre, but he is aweful ATM. Everything he does turns to Shyte. Copley is on 350k, he should be that other centre. SKD was definitely our best player before he got injured.
We've gotta do something about Friend. We need some luck with injuries, and our best players on the park.
Plus we need 1 or 2 HUGE signings.Roosters For Ever

Don't think there's any more wins in us this year to be honest. What I'm worried about is next year. This side hasn't got the mettle to go any further while other teams have advanced in leaps and bounds. We are not 1st grade quality anymore.
What we need is a complete clean out. The last time we had one we won the comp not long after.“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)

Not sure if the board and our sponsors would be willing to wait a couple of years for us to be competitive again.Roosters For Ever

Maybe it's time to bring back the Sack Nick thread. I loved that thread........
If people with influence bring Nick to account, magic happens.
This whole club starts and stops with him.
He is a club legend. Our number one supporter.
But he owns the joint., and he is the only one that can fix it. The coach is in unknown territory.......he is out of his depth.
When I last wrote about sacking Nick 5 years ago, I really think he deserved criticism.
Our club is very unique. Members can't join or have a say. Nobody can get on the board who Nick doesn't invite. We have 70 members? All of which have been invited by Nick.
Our structure is a laugh.
Whilst I agree that having a wealthy benefactor in charge is mostly a preferred structure, it does have it's pitfalls.
The argument against changing the structure is often supported with the.."look at Cronulla and Parramatta statements."
I'm looking at Cronulla....they have finally got a good board....that has trickled down.
They are a strong club.
With any monopoly there are advantages and disadvantages. We lack foresight and are a reactionary club.
I don't feel Nick deserves criticism for what has happened this year. Sonny walks away, Jennings released. Mini the chookpen pariah retires( turned out he was a great leader), Sheck takes a better....(that was a stuff up) and Mitch acts like a bogan. As a lot of drunk idiots do! Clearly, the abilities of young players given by those down the food chain like POS may have been overestimated.
Nick needs to try to fix things for next year. Simple..like he did 5 years agobarbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

Jennings ...lost the ball many times last season...no great loss.
Pay Sheck $800,000...everyone would want $800,000...Eels tried 'that' nonsense...didn't work out.
Nothing wrong with our structure...Premiers 2002, 2013, Minor Premiers 2013, 2014, 2015...despite the seemingly biased refereeing. Refer that newspaper article last year.
