Not that I'm blaming the coach, as there are are heaps of issues that have contributed to the mess that is 2016. But it seems in more recent history, every time we've changed the coach we've tasted some success.

We just haven't been a joint that can stick with a coach for longer terms, ie. Melbourne, Broncos.
Why is that?

Of course in between coaches there was plenty of pain - Phil Gould, brad fitter , chris Anderson , the Wayne Bennett mess, and too many disciplinary events to name.

Also some very shitty recruitment.

So why are sticking solid with Trent.
My personal viewpoint is that he should stay for another season.

If he fails again.....punt him.

Doing some weeding and keeping Trent I prefer - other players would want to come to the club with him as coach as long as the bad eggs or over the hill players are moved on.
Keeping the likes of the qld connection and Freeloader Fergo and island time loner Topou will not benefit us at all - good ridduns to them all.

Personally I reckon if we're not kicking ass this time next year. Then bye bye Trent , contract or no contract.

Also, I just read in the telecrap they're questioning our diabolical recruitment And retention, and they're asking who was responsible for letting Maloney. They ranked Maloney as the seasons best buy, and Copley and Burgess as 2 of the worst 10 buys.

Anderson had no idea. Same with Fittler.

Agree 100%. Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of Robbo. I just hope the board gives him time.

But I was just commenting on the success after coach changes. It's a fact if you look at the Grand Finals we played.

Could call it a fluke but I don't think so.
