  • Welcome French

A thousand apologies for the thread title, I just wanted to commit the cardinal sin.

It occurs to me that perhaps finding a killer fullback might be easier than the centre merry-go-round.
So with that thought in mind think of Latrell in the centres.....
Short term he might appreciate playing nrl in a position that wont hi-light handling errors as much, and long term we dont know how his size and fitness will gel with the fullback role.

There would be a lot of potential fullbacks around, blokes who would switch clubs to play the position.
That guy who's playing for the warriors now, what's he gonna do when RTS comes back?
Look at the sharks, Bird and Holmes aren't stoked with their positions.

But the pick of them all would be Bevan French.
He's got the lot. Pace, evasiveness , safe hands , a footballing brain, and he can tackle.

If Parra don't get their crowd favourite back from his sporting odyssey , offer Slaimankle as a trade.

    It all makes sense...
We've had Casty, now we could have something french that can play league.

And how! this'll be like shooting fish in a barrel .

All we gotta do is front the parra board and tell 'em we've got THE Omar Slaimankle, NSW cup fullback of the year himself, and he's even prepared to play on Sundays just for them....
By the time news of his signing filters through to the members they'll all be tagging him as the new Billy Slater..

If that don't work offer them Friend and tell 'em he makes a mean sandwich.

We need an established solid FB.

Latrell needs to play out in the centres for a season or 2.

Well he probably scored more points in SC than our entire side put together last night.

                    .
The Henson Park days, man we had a good atmosphere going at that joint,
Another year we could've won the comp.

From memory Prohm and Smith were the regular centres, and French spent most his time suspended. I remember when he started out people were labelling him the next Mick Cronin...........truth is stranger than fiction.

                      Could be a plan.
RTS is the past, Gordon the present, and Mitchell/French/that Warriors dude, etc, etc is the future............

Its just my gut feeling that Latrell would be best utilised in the centres. Either way he'll be a hell of a player if he stays fit.
