That game a throwback to the bad old days of a slow and impotent backline. If our backline incapable over running around a compressed defence then our forwards will get belted by 2-3 defenders every time.
Our forwards don't deserve a kick up the arse. They deserve a pat on the back for having the courage to risk injury with every hit up.

Our forwards weren't ragdolled by the Bromwich brothers and Proctor. It was our halves and backs who got smashed.
Therefore, take away our good forwards and we lost by 60+ (and the game gets a LOT more ugly... rather than Cronk/Smith/Munster/wingers going around us... we get forwards with no right to score tries just bashing their way through the centre.)

Too short? That can actually be a big advantage to guys who play his type of game. Lower centre of gravity equals harder to tackle front on.
I know you are not putting it all on Sam but I'd be looking elsewhere. The past few years our game has been very simple but effective. Great go forward started by RTS and SKD, then finished off by our forwards. All based on super quick play the balls. The guys coming in have not been able to replicate it at all.Embrace the Hate! JC

I like Sam and I think he tries. He just doesn't have the impact or bend the line like he use to. Maybe he just can't get motivated playing in a losing team. I reckon this is the problem for all the out of form guys. Their attitude isn't good.
