I've heard Mitchell is a fairly nippy dummy half with some sharp skills, but he's small and his defence is suspect. This is totally secondhand so would be interested to hear from someone who's seen him play

Dumbrell looks the goods to me so I don't see the need for Mitchell particularly if he has attitude problems.

Mitchell would be good to use in the last 10-15 of each half. He is very zippy.

I was speaking to a bloke last night who had both Brunton and Gelling working for him last year and he reckons the Jets definitely have Brunton on their books. Reckons he hasn't been playing due to a shoulder injury.

Interesting only because this story was floating around here earlier in the year and then went cold.

I thought Brunton was playing for Cabra(jets feeder)

That's correct BigMike, played five-eighth for them this past weekend.

Brunton has been running the water at some games

Roosters nab Mitchell as season of woe continues

THE Roosters announced last night the immediate signing of rising Eels star Anthony Mitchell.

The 22-year-old made his debut last year and earned a call-up in February's All-Stars match.

The acquisition of a handy attacking hooker is timely because the last time the Roosters' attack was so poor, the dollar had just replaced the pound and tries were worth only three points.

The year was 1966, when Easts, as they were then known, not only collected the wooden spoon after losing every game, but failed to score more than 12 points in any of their final nine games.

Forty-five years later, the Roosters have plumbed similar depths, having failed to better 13 points in their past nine matches, seven of which last year's grand finalists lost.

If we can pey him this season without needing anymore cap exemptions this could mean we've seen the last of Piggy (YAY), i haven't seen this kid play, but i can't imagine him being any worse. I imagine this also spells the end for Watts.
