    I am excited.
Mitchell is a genuine hooker with smarts and a good head (unlike Parra). Anyone saying he has issues with attitude etc are making sh!t up. He will offer a Roosters team lacking an actual NRL standard replacement hooker a fair bit going forward. Growing up with Ant, and following his progress closely, I can definitively say that he is a real acquisition for this team.

On another note, it will be great to see Anthony playing with Aidan Guerra again (hopefully soon. Riddell... PLEASE!).
These two played all their junior footy together, both club, school and rep.

We need big players with some sharp skills.

Our 'midget' team just get belted and driven backwards all the time.

If it means that Riddell can retire then I vote yes.

Well, I'm interested to see how Anthony goes and G-Unit Guerra's post gives me hope.
Welcome to the Roosters and good luck.

              Roosters sign Amthony Mitchell

Guys this is my first post but I am an avid fan and have been reading everyone's posts keenly over the past few weeks. Just thought everyone would like to know that according to the SMH we've just signed Anthony Mitchell from Parramatta.

Yeah, sorry I realised that after I posted. Have been away over the weekend so didn't see the earlier post. Let's hope Mitchell is a good one and Piggy can finally be permenantly benched - ie retired!

You need attitude to make it in this game and Ant has the right type of attitude to succeed, a no nonsense approach to footy, he knows nothing else. One thing he will bring to the Roosters is a footy brain and good choice of pass options coupled with clean ball. What he lacks in size he makes up for with ticker.

How do you guys propose we play this guy when we have already exceeded the 2nd tier salary cap and had to go back for an exemption. Seriously you'll have to look forward to seeing the current crop play first grade for the rest of the year now.

We've exceeded the 2nd tier cap. We release Watts and it frees up money under the main cap, not the 2nd tier, which allows us to play Mitchell. If we couldn't play him this season, do you think our guys would have really signed him now and not waited till next year? Seriously, we do some dumb things but we're not that stupid.

                          You think?

If we'd released Watts you would have heard it by now.

                            That shouldn't be far off.
