How good were we going. Power. Confidence. Great body language.

Then Toups does the usual drop with the line wide open.

    We never recovered.

    Embarrassing.

PS. Fergo this season is the worst defensive player I have ever seen.

The Bulldogs were asleep for the first 20mins.

Last year's Roosters would have been up 24-0.

I agree JT,Tupou's error changed the whole game into the Bulldogs favour..
Tupou knows he will never get dropped,so why would he care..
      Robbo will do nothing,yet again!

So why doesn't Robbo drop him?

I thought Tupou was selected to keep his price high going into June 30. But that has passed so why pick him? He started ok then his error changed momentum...then his D suffered and he started being driven backwards. And Robbo keeps selecting him.I'm stumped

We've had plenty of good opening 20 minute periods this year. Problem is they are invariably followed up with 60 of the most embarrassing minutes of amateur hour footy.

Seems to me we blow our load going all out at the start of games and then are just buggered and out of ideas for the rest of the game.

Watson should be getting 15 mins to end the first half every week at hooker and give fat friend a rest. Maybe then jake wouldn't looking like he is about to have a goddamned heart attack with 10 mins to go each half and stop Making his dumb attacking decisions that plague him when he is clearly exhausted

while most of the team has been getting it together there a few lame ones ..Hastings terrible ..looked good on occasions but when Toups offloaded to put him through a yawning gap he had no confidence and ran backwards to look for anybody else that could run the ball-game killer.
              Fergo as usual -skata
Always on SKD to be amateurish when it counts once a game
              Couple of refs bullshit etc.
We were the better side by heaps just very clumsy.
At the moment a winning culture is elusive for these blokes .
Just can not close games down???? Do you blame our forwards ???? I think so because they go so good for parts of the game as in this case the first twenty then switched off.Its ok to get a breather but man youve gotta put in in the last twenty and shut the homos out.
This is where the problem lies no aggression in the last 15 or 10 minutes from forwards to shut the opposition out.same as last 5 of first halves ...we can all sit here blame this and that Toups fergo SKD but in the end it comes down to what our forwards do for the 80 minutes and at the moment they are 20 minuts pack ...God even half a game Artie did better than this bunch ...hehhe

Our bench just isn't up to it and is just night and day between what starts the game and what comes off the bench. JWH had 80 metres and 14 tackles in the 1st 20. Easy to say we should replicate power, but unfortunately impossible. The confidence and body language parts I 100% agree with though. Pearce really did lead from the front in that respect.

Overall, the performance was good. Pearce played out of his skin, Copley impressed me and JWH is back to his old self. We lost the game in the 15 minutes after JWH went off, we had no answers to Kasiano and TRex on the edges, defensive reads during this period from Ferguson (again!) and imo Tupou not Copley (who chose to stay on his wing and defend air rather than come in on Rona). On the other hand, after Pearce was penalised for a drop ball in the 38th minute I was very impressed that we kept them out, we've been letting in points off the back of that crap all season.

Since we released Maloney for Hastings I was always hoping he was the answer and will be a star in due time..
Even through his quiet games I would look for the rare quality touches as a hope for the future.
Unfortunately after last night I can't lie to myself anymore..
He is slow, runs backwards and looks extremely tentative playing First Grade..Such a shame and a real let down.
On the positive note,if Pearce performs the way he did last night he and Keary will be super next year!
Hastings is no First Grader 😔

Gee Watson always adds supper energy and spark when he comes on.
I would like to see him get more game time as he looks a real prospect.
I'm not sold on Luke Keary but not much on the market.
The club took a gamble on Hastings and let Malony go. Hasting has not impressed me and needs time to develop.
Hindsight is great but the salary cap was always going to hurt us. God I wish we kept Malony!
Last night was very disappointing as we should have won. Same as about 4 other games this year.
I don't get all the hate on Toops he is a good player and brings something different.
Furgo needs to go back to defensive school , he has been terrabad.
                    Pearce = Awsome
SKD Rocks and Diamonds bu t we all know that.
Moa has lost his punch this year and has been giving away way too many penalties.
Friend needs a break mid game and Watson is the man.
                    Just my thoughts
