  • That Chase!

Just wow, Manu's try saver on Bevan French is one of the best try saving cover tackles/pushes I have ever seen.

Firstly, how the hell was Manu even In a position to chase given he was the right winger? Did he just decide to cover in case?

Secondly, the video replay was awesome. Bevan French is cruising for his try when he sees Manu out of the corner of his eye and puts on the after burners. But Manu looks like a man possessed and goes even harder, putting in like his life depended on it. Freaking awesome.

I am loving Manu's two games so far. He needs to keep his spot over toupo or Fergo. His future looks far brighter. Reminds me of Roger reincarnated.

True, but he was spent for the remainder of the game after that try saver.

Surely a first grader can recover quickly enough after a 100m sprint to not be spent for the remainder of the game.

It would have been nice to have seen a wide angle view of this chase.

That reminded me of a Kerry Boustead special.

Incredible save that's for sure but need's to work on his stamina and to think people were concerned that he couldn't defend, well done to the kid.

He didn't run as hard after but it's not like Fergo runs hard now either. 16 runs for 162m too so he loves to get involved

Chasing a guy and pulling him down is different to tackling a guy who is running at you.

Bevan French was planning his post try celebrations when Manu hit him in to touch. He had that 'what the fudge just happened' look while he was lying there.
                SUPER DRAGON!

This is true that's for sure ..but he had to come from the otherside of the field to do it so in my opinion it rates a special mention.

Getting put over the sideline with his first touch wasnt the best but everything else he did was pretty good. I hope he go's on to play plenty of FG in the centres at the Roosters.

Yet he so nearly scored the match winner, if it wasn't for that flukey Norman tackle.

Chasing and pulling down a flyer like French is a totally different ball game all together. Up there with Darren Alberts chase and tackle on Matt Seers in 97 as the best chase I have ever seen.

In the semi final series in 1994 Matt Seers chased down Brett Mullins bringing him down millimetres from the line that was probably the best I have seen.
