Two things. They should have won the game for such an effort and our club has been in selling mode for some time now cashing in on premier players. Let's hope Manu and Mitchell are not next on their list to sell. Going by last year I wouldn't write our club off doing this sort of thing. We trian them into superstars then sell them to the highest bidder.

It would have been nice to have seen a wide angle view of this chase.

Firstly, how the hell was Manu even In a position to chase given he was the right winger? Did he just decide to cover in case?
Secondly, the video replay was awesome. Bevan French is cruising for his try when he sees Manu out of the corner of his eye and puts on the after burners. But Manu looks like a man possessed and goes even harder, putting in like his life depended on it. Freaking awesome.
I am loving Manu's two games so far. He needs to keep his spot over toupo or Fergo. His future looks far brighter. Reminds me of Roger reincarnated.

Noted Mickie, I remember that one on Mullos by Seers up there in my top 5.
Mini's one rates a mention. Wasn't that just before Fitzy's 90 plus metre try HH?
Also special mention for Luke Phillips effort in saving a try on halftime to stop a rampaging Francis Meli scoring. Was he defusing a kick chase in the 2002 GF?
But Albert's one is the best for me...taking Seers around the corner post stopping a try which would have taken Norths into the Grandfinal. Seers also had a 10m start about 40-50 metres from the line and was absolute lightening over 40m.
Correction it was the 60 min mark and Newcastle were up by 8. If my memory serves me correct there was not much in the game at the end.Last edited by Parkway_Drive; 07-09-2016, 04:07 PM.Originally posted by boogie

Joseph's chase and subsequent try saving push was the highlight of the game for me so a big well done to him for the effort shown. Was also pleased by his team mates' reaction to the try saving effort.
Loved SKD's set up for Latrell's first try as well. Little bits of light in an otherwise dark hole the Roosters are in at the moment."The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

This isn't super coach, the club doesn't get money for selling players.

At the game and front on and I have to say one of the most inspired moments in chase defence I have seen. Absolutely take my hat off to this young man - pure determination and athleticism – magic moment

I was at the game and sitting in that corner. When French made that break i thought "oh well there goes 4 points" then all of a sudden i saw Manu coming across and i was like "holy moly, he's getting closer" than BAM! It was awesome, right in front of me. The only problem was.... after that he pretty much lost all energy and was slower than dial up internet. If he can work on his fitness and stamina he should develop into a real talent.
