I think yes. Found myself thinking the other night against parra, wow could really use a Matterson intercept right about now, not to mention Hastings was terrible in defence, which we can't afford against the sharks. Matto is much more solid in D, not to mention has more pace and runs the ball. Got a feeling we may see him play on Monday night, whether he is named this arv at #6 or #18...

Is it time for Matterson to be bumped up into the 17?

Actually I would prefer to see Matterson at 6 and have Connor on the bench but used a bit more than 3 minutes and 40 seconds. When we had Mortimer, he would relieve Friend for 10 minutes before half time and a bit more in the second half, and Friend was regarded as the second best hooker in Australia behind Smith. Now Friend is probably not in the top 6.

what about all the inside knowledge from the chookpen that he was out and already signed . i agree, keep Ryan in the 6, connor to take off Jake and jnr horrie to work on his speed, his turning, his tackles, his kicking game at wyong,1911 1912 1913 1923 1935 1936 1937 1940 1945 1974 1975 2002 2013 2018 2019 2020

To me it looks like he learned his lesson with nikorima and is choosing not destroy Watson's confidence by having him play big minutes before he's ready. Watson has looked great everytime he's come on the field and no doubt that's been engineered by coming on against tired bodies. He's building his confidence.
