Someone on another thread reckons we should hire a ball handling coach. What is a ball handling coach?Originally posted by King Salvo 'Tedesco and Woods will be more than likely Dogs signings but both will give Tigers last shot - we are not in the race anymore'

i coach my 14s with a very well worn out steeden. no grip and as shinny as hell. we very rarely drop the ball during the game. we also train our passing games with a tennis ball. two hand passing and catching.1911 1912 1913 1923 1935 1936 1937 1940 1945 1974 1975 2002 2013 2018 2019 2020

Criticise me as much as you want but there needs to be a line drawn in the sand.... It hurts me much to suggest it but the game was on the line and if not so was our season.... You need to be discipline and we were not in that game at a stage to be frantic or try any out of the ordinary plays in which he did and probably has cost us our season....
Like I mentioned before which I believed a lot of people on this forum misinterpreted me saying (but were really for the insults!!) our younger players such as Mitchell, Watson, Manu, Copely and Hastings have been showing from Round 1 great discipline with the ball as our senior players have not... Tupou is a great example as he averages at least 2 to 3 handling errors per match.
None of the above young players I have mentioned have not disappointed me at all this season, in fact I really hope we don't sign any other more players as these kids are direct proof that Trent Robinson is a sensational coach as look how impressive they have been. End of the day the silly offloading and throwing passes close to the defensive line without having communicated with one another are always executed wrongly from our senior players and we are into Round 19 with the worse completion rate in the NRL which is disgusting and frustrating as a lot of the errors have been unforced in which no hand of the defense has touch these players in a result for the error..
It frustrates me every time we get the ball for each set as I am waiting anxiously on which player will try to do something stupid in which will result in an error. I hate it every time Tupou runs the ball from our own line, the only joy I get is watching Mitchell bringing it back on a kick return but I panic to think he may pass it to Tupou or SKD in which is more scary....

The last 3 games we have been the better team especially with the ins and outs we've had but we just can't simply hold a ball for some reason.... It really has costs us our season, I think Robbo may have to take action and drop some senior guys for ill discipline as my first would have been JWH for last week.
He tried to off load late in the tackle count whilst still in our half and we lost possession, Eels score off the next set. Yet again drops the ball on the last tackle in the same area on the field, yet the same result with the Eels scoring off the next set...
It is these stupid errors from our senior blokes which destroys the hard work from the likes of Joseph Manu who after that tackle the game was ours....
Latrell makes a great break to run 60 metres, and yet again Tupou drops an easy catch from a kick to kill the momentum...
I mean my point is that our younger guys have better respect for ball control than our senior guys and I feel we need to cut some of them for a week or two just to prove a point......
