The players looked like they were up for the match.

You could see it in the way they did things in the first twenty minutes.

We were in a good position to put points on but idiots like Mataka and Carney bombed opportunities or didn't have the football brain to make the most of a good opportunity.

Once the Storm scored you could see there was no return.

We will all have our theories, some believable, some downright ridiculous.

The players look united, at least on the outside.

Watching them play you sit there just waiting for the passes to stick and the points to flow. It just isn't happening though.

Whilst the Storm were missing some great players, they still had enough talent to beat us.

O'Neill is a very good young player. Would look good in the tricolours.

          Matt Duffie - see above.

Maurice Blair is a very skillful player. One of the few ball players coming through with old fashion skill.

Hinchcliffe was close to MOM in the City v Country. We have Riddell.

Our most important player, Carney, looks lost. I wouldn't say he is disinterested. Just lost. Maybe he needs a week in Thailand.

They are definitely having a dig. Considering all of the ball they lose in their own half, we really shoudl be conceding 30+ points per game. Completion rates of 50% are not acceptable at this level.

I'm not Brian Smith's no.1 fan, nor am I his no.1 enemy. Over the years his teams have played a good brand of football when on song.

This is his toughest challenge of his career. The Roosters are a unique club. If he fails next season I would punt him.

carney doesnt look like he is enjoying his footy. When he kicked the field goal v warriors it was like he just did it a training. Compare that to last year...

Our backline is shot. Carney threw a beautiful pass to Mataka who butchered a certain try. Carney tried it one more time and it was dropped again. Carney was left with little choice but try something different.

I don't buy it that Carney is that bad this year. He simply doesn't have the same backline to work with. The opposition are compressing their defense and cramping our halves and forwards for room, and our outside backs are too slow to run around them.

Last night I lost count how many times we had space out wide and were too slow to make the opposition pay.

agreed, SKD or Linnett would have taken that ball. Maubs took it for many a try time last year

Carney hasn't had the support all year. Last night it was slightly improved, but was let down by poor handling. He had a great first 20 minutes but then disappeared after that
