  • Latrell needs a break

2 weeks off.. Watson to 1 and Matterson in the starting side. Seasons gone

He does look injured still. I don't think he left the ballot go dead on the Townsend try. He looked as though his knee stopped him from changing directions.

Latrell is an amazing young player but with nothing on the line and two crook knees he needs a break

Matterson should be starting for Wyong, showed little to be rewarded.

He doesn't need a break. He needs to keep doing what he's doing. He won't get better on the sideline and his body won't adjust to the rigours of nrl by resting. He's not a kid. He's 19. He's a professional athlete and he'll get 4 months off at the end of the year.

I agree and it's a real concern that the club and Robbo haven't done this. He can't even run the ball up at full speed. The kid will be a star one day but with our season over surely it's time to treat he's injuries and be right for start of next year

              Couldn't disagree more.

What is he meant to do? Starting spot railroaded, wrongly slotted in to dummy half (a 105kg, 6'3 dummy half, stupid) and caught out on a 5th tackle option because our senior player, halfback and former State representative decides to take a hit up on the 4th tackle.

What do you think Matto should do when hes had 0 continuity in the first team or in position. This is on Trent, not him.

I think the coach shouldn't play him out of position, if there isn't a spot for him in firsts then Wyong is where he should be.Although pretty piss poor dummy half work too you either take the chances you get with both hands or not.
Now where would you play him ? The only real spots we have up for grabs at the moment are either centre or wing. I think Watson has risen way above him in the pecking order in the halves backup or supersub, Manu would be infront of him for a back's position I can't see Robbo dropping SKD, Fergo. So either he improves his defence in the off season and tries for a second row bench spot or he ask's for a release and goes somewhere else.

When Jake went off I was expecting Aubbo to go to hooker and Matterson into the second row. He still gave it a good crack at hooker, except that terrible kick going dead. but what could he have done with pearce taking the 4th tackle hit up. I don't think he got a real chance to play his footy tonight

I think Fergo needs a break more than anyone.

Robbo has dropped the ball blooding Latrell for a full season.. too young for a full year of fullback

If Latrell is happy to play week in, week out, then let him. He needs to learn to play with injuries, espec in the back half of the year. 3/4 of the NRL are playing injured at this stage of the season.

He's young, and seems to recover from niggles pretty quickly. I reckon he looks more injured than he actually is because when he gets any sort of injury he seems to panic at the thought of it being serious and his body language shows it. That's natural for a young kid, but he will learn to get past that in time. Looking at his reaction to an injury in the Dogs game you would have sworn he was gone for a few weeks, but he was out on the park last Friday against Parra.
Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

I get that he has to learn to play through pain and niggles but you also don't want to burn him out either.
The last thing we need is for him to have chronic knee injuries over the coming years. We lost a good portion of mini in his prime to those back injuries, I'd hate to have the same happen with Latrell

I would like to see Matterson given a chance at centre. He looked good there in the City v Country game.
Move Ferguson to fullback and SKD and Manu on the wings. Give Mitchell 1 week to freshen up.
