He is what he is and has alot of growing to do. He just needs to be managed effectively.

The problem is most of the squad need to be managed effectively and they aren't.
Spot on. They are all being let down very badly.

I hate it how some equate passion with stupid aggression. Yeah lets have JWH, Mose or FPN show a bit of passion by throwing a swinging arm to a players head while his carrying the ball and then we see all the players square up and getting a penalty against us. That's right, it seems to happen every game with our side. That's not aggression! That's stupid behavior. You don't see the Broncos, Saints or Storm being that STUPID, i mean passionate.

Yes you do...but they don't get penalised every time!

How long are we going to keep crying about the refs? Before it was R. Finch now its...Harrigan? Who's it going to be next year? Sometimes we have to take responsibility.

I'm sure you are not suggesting that instead of JWH we need a forward that would back down! He still has a penalty or two in him, but he's cut back the really stupid stuff compared to the first 8-10 rounds.

I mean within the club. He has been in our top 2 or 3 all year ...albiet not much competition.

Kennedy has'nt been going that well. He had one stand out game.

Well with a view like that, how can I argue with you?

                        Myles?

I want some of what you are on.

And that penalty you seem to base all of your thread on was a joke.

Melbourne walked off the mark and pushed us down all game but we didnt get a penalty for it.

You got your head so far up your stats! Obviously your judgement comes from reading stats rather than watching the game objectively. Good to know that those who know about the game have confidence on Mini to put him in origin unlike your constant dribble about stats stats and more stats. Like i said, try watching a game. I somehow suspect your going to wish Mini has a bad game tonight just so you can prove your stats mania.

JWH has been one of our best/consistent players this season. He was penalised for no reason the other night, apart from that he did nothing wrong

                              Lost the game for us...
The score was 4-8 and we had just been awarded a set of 6 inside their 30 when JWH decided to concede a crucial penalty by incorrectly playing the ball. Instead of us scoring and getting ahead (which could have been a springboard) they scored soon after, we lost our cool and silly season began.

I'm not arguing his passion... and chucking a psycho at schoolboy level might be good. This is professional footy though!!! Part of winning is keeping a cool head and being able to play smart footy rather than going all skitzo and constantly trying to get back at individuals.

End of the day the Storm FR'ers didn't care about JWH, they cared about the game and winning. JWH cared about evening scores because he'd been penalised for a dodgy tackle and an incorrect play the ball. Rather than cooling down he focussed on settling personal scores (which yes is passion) but it's a very 2 dimensional view of the game.

At a professional level the smart player ALWAYS wins. JWH in this case was smaller, wimpier and dumber. He is not one of our top 3 forwards, he's a fringe player who we are paying Kiwi international fees for because of his "next SBW" marketing...

here is the link to JWH's "Penalty"

                                1) He does not palm the face of a marker and

                                2) he does step off the mark, but makes an effort to return to the mark.

This was a Joke of a penalty, especially when we were in their 10mtrs
