The sad thing is having looked further into it and asked around it's quite a smart piece of business and has nothing to do with our clubs financial standing. I'm not judging anyone on here for not donating or having their own opinion on it but you've just given the DT a free shot.

Yes it's the fans fault.

Take out our fluke of last year and during his time as leading our club, we have been completely diobolical. We've basically been the laughing stock of the league in the years he's been with us.

I don't remember one CEO putting on the boots and winning a GF. But to say he is a dud because two teams of his in 6 years fluked the GF is idiotic. Do we now judge CEO's on how many "non-fluke" GF their team makes? That makes most CEO's duds.
Now it's coaches and CEOs results (non-fluke) on the field. Last year was a fluke so Smithy is a dud. Sheen won a fluke GF so he is a dud.

Aside from fluking two GFs what else has Noyce done or not done that makes him a dud? To me Waldron is a dud and Richardson because of the constant BS that comes from his mouth.

I don't particularly rate Noyce.

On the subject of the "donation" issue - It's a Commonwealth Government scheme where you can donate money to the Australian Sports Foundation or something like that, where you can request that the money donated goes to a dedicated project of your choice (ie. in this case, the new Roosters gym).

The Federal Government then allocate the money accordingly (although they say they cannot guarantee that funds donated go to any particular project, they say it's entirely at their discretion to decide where each dollar goes). And it's tax deductible.

Funny you mention journalisim Crikey, i was reading chapter 31 of "from where the sun rises" maily about the early 90's and the End of the Ron Jones Era and there was alot of referencing to article in big league and RLW when they actually had to put in QUALITY reporting and not just fluff pieces on rugby league
