  • Jack Bosden

Heard a rumor down here in Wollongong that the Roosters have picked up Jack Bosden for the next two years.

As I wrote on the Wall ...pretty sure he was the one who played the ball incorrectly against the Eels, just as Soward popped the field goal ...so the winning f/goal was disallowed because of his ill discipline in playing the ball

....yep he certainly qualifies to fit straight into our team !

Oh Jack Bosden sounds like he will fit like a glove

and given that our aim seems to be to play backrowers from 1-13 thats ideal!

He was the one that tore up in the trials so you know he has the talent. Would be a great buy.

Good buy if true. Won't cost much and provides depth. Don't care if he is a backrower as long as he is quality.

Nothing wrong with buying a good young player.

There are question marks over our current bunch.

Messaged a dragon mate to ask about Bosden. He replied with "He's going to be a gun". When I told him the rumour he predictably responded by saying he'd see you next tuesday...

I'm not 100% sure if it was Bosden but it was definately not Young.

I think its a bit of a myth that we have an abundance of backrowers. Looking at it:
Anasta - should not be there
                        Maubs - Good first grader
                        Myles - gone
FPN - Looked like he was really coming good last year, but has had a very ordinary year. Needs to lift his game.
Symonds - Developping. Had lots of injuries. I like the look of him, but is yet to be a proven first grader.
Cordner - Developping. Had lots of injuries. I like the look of him, but is yet to be a proven first grader.
Cherrington - Not sure if his body is up to it. Yet to be a proven first grader.
Guerra - Looks OK, but is yet to be a proven first grader.
Toyota Cup Backrowers - Yet to prove anything - a couple with promise (as every club has)

Based on that assessment, I wouldn't hold back on signing a promising backrower. Especially if he has a high workrate up the middle, which is something we are going to miss with Myles going.

Speaking of Toyota Cup, we are down 12-10 just before half time. Hugh McGahan's son has kicked 2 conversions.

Does Robert Liu's brother play for us?

Actually we are now up 14-12 at half time.

Just to clarify, McGahan's son plays for the Storm.

Matt Mcgahn was offered to the club by Hughie and knocked back, very very good player by all reports
