    Maubs - Good first grader
    Myles - gone
FPN - Looked like he was really coming good last year, but has had a very ordinary year. Needs to lift his game.
Symonds - Developping. Had lots of injuries. I like the look of him, but is yet to be a proven first grader.
Cordner - Developping. Had lots of injuries. I like the look of him, but is yet to be a proven first grader.
Cherrington - Not sure if his body is up to it. Yet to be a proven first grader.
Guerra - Looks OK, but is yet to be a proven first grader.
Toyota Cup Backrowers - Yet to prove anything - a couple with promise (as every club has)

Based on that assessment, I wouldn't hold back on signing a promising backrower. Especially if he has a high workrate up the middle, which is something we are going to miss with Myles going.
    Arona?
    Tasi?
    BJ?

would definitely be a good signing and his playing style as a backrower would complement that of the rest of our backrow. he play the no nonsense down and dirty role which by losing myles, we may well lack. it would undoubtedly be a smart signing imo and a good replacement for conn. other thing i like about him as a signing is that for value, you wouldnt find a better pick up. he is now battle hardened and ready for first grade in that he is a few years out of TYC and has done his NSW cup apprenticeship so like guerra, is ready and raring to go to nail down a spot in first grade. the fact that he is not an established first grader to date though would mean that he wouldnt command massive coin. like mitchell, another smart acquisition

I don't mind if we pick up talented fringe first graders. It keeps the pressure on the current squad to continue to perform, and they come relatively cheap. Good way to make the current squad realise that this club isn't about the easy ride anymore.

Arona may have the goods. Again - unproven and the jury is out.
I think Tasi is a prop.
For me, BJ is definitely a first grader. Question is where? Centre or 2nd row?

We have a lot of backrowers that 'might' make it. Problem is, a lot of them play the same style. Maubs, Symonds, Cherrington, Guerra, BJ, FPN - they are all wide runners that defend a little wider of the ruck.

There aren't too many mentioned that do their work in tight and have a high workrate like Myles and Conn do. If thats the type of player Bosden is, I have no problem signing him up.

Losing Myles and Conn at the same time is a bit of a hammerblow

this might make amends but we are still awaiting official confirmation

....yep he certainly qualifies to fit straight into our team !
Yes......lets not sign a player because he made a mistake due to enthusiasm and being a bit too keen in a game that if it wasn't his NRL debut, was only his 2nd or 3rd game

If Matt McGahan turns out to be half the player his dad was, if not just in talent but also sheer guts, then I will personally kick both Brian Smith and Steve Noyce in the testicles.

Are you going to sell tickets to this event...and where can I buy one.
I thought involving the son of a former Easts great would be good for morale and tradition.

Maggie, barring Uncle Nick (whom I think has been marginalized or worse) there's no-one at the club who would know a thing about Roosters tradition. They'd go Hugh who?, oh yeah, Ferris Ashton is that poor old bastard they drag out every year for Anzac Day and Johnny Tobin? Oh, right, he's that annoying wanker that posts bullshit on the posting boards.

These people even look at Bob Fulton as that respected commentator on 2GB instead of that cove (unt) who raped Eastern Suburbs Irreversible style back in 1982 and stole half the team.

The Roosters have no tradition, no honor, no discipline (in the sense of having a code they live by), it's an empty shell of a club and last year was a fluke, an aberration that won't be repeated as long as the culture is so gangrenous.
