Good to hear It needs to happen I said this to a few people last Sunday Watson reminds me of a young Cooper Cronk who was a natural footy player when he came on the scene he also satrted off the bench as a utility, who season after season has got better and better. Watson probably wont quite hit the heights of Cronk But he is a high quality footballer who if can develop his kciking game and hone his skills and improve year in year out then there is no telling where he could end up. The sky is the limit for him if he can grow and mature as a player Watson is good just how good he ends up depends on how he develops his game and applies himself to that

Fair call In saying that we never got see how Wing developed in the halves like we have Cronk as we ended up with Finch Personally I think Watson is better suited to the halves or even fullback rather than hooker One thing that is for sure is he bring enormous utility value

Definitely the find so far. BUT, even Robo' says he needs to pick up his kicking game. And I can't remember him throwing a decent cutout pass yet, an essential skill for a half in attack these days (and thats what he is IMO).

Next year will be interesting to watch though with him starting off the bench.

I love his spirit even when he was off injured in the sheds & watching the game on TV he jumped for joy on his injured leg when SKD scored.

Conner has a more experienced halves partner, is playing behind a stronger pack with Cords & JWH in, & most teams showing fatigue as the season has progressed...
Niko was thrown in when he wasn't ready but due to circumstances out of his control...
Had roles been reversed you might be talking up Niko...
Both have skills that need fine tuning & I'd hate to see either leave the club & flourish elsewhere...

Watson has been in our system for a few years, Nikorima had barely unpacked his bags in Sydney and was shoved into a role neither he or the club were expecting. He is certainly worth persevering with and won't be moved on unless he wants to go.
