He Says he wants Mick to push Latrell for that no 1 position ????? Robbo also wants Latrell to lift his work rate and defense.

He's played just as much wing as he has fullback. He actually played Origin on the wing

Nah, Gordon is a great winger and a solid fullback.

We are getting him for a great price and he adds several of the core ingredients we are desperatly missing (experience, professionalism, goalkicking, solid defence at the back).

I'm surprised so many people are whinging about this signing.

I think it's because he isn't as flashy as Hayne or RTS that people are having a sook.

Given the circumstances, i'm thrilled we have Gordon coming to be honest.

Robbo is spot on about Latrell. He plays like he is still in the 20s. With a lazy, carefree attitude. And that's obviously coz he is still a kid. He has been caught out of position plenty of times, especially Parra. Then the game against Saints where he fumbled a kick, only to turn very slowly and be beaten to the ball for a try.
He still has a lot of growing up to do, most mentally. When he does he will be a star.

Gordon has played plenty of wing and is a mistake free professional.

Robbo will be the coach until his contract is up & then I would say they will sign him up again.

The point I'm trying to make is that I thought we got Gordon to play FB.
I considered him as a winger, but we seem to have a Shyte load of wingers, young and older, none exceptional (at the moment).
I'm friggin confused though. We have no real speed and our defence sucks. Is this being addressed?
Of course our lack of talented specialist centres is a worry, and lack of big impact type forwards on the interchange is of concern.
Will 2017 be a better year? I could not handle another 2016.

Don't underestimate the effect on a teams defence a very experienced, intelligent , vocal, fullback has.

Who is to say Gordon won't be fullback in defence and Latrell in attack. That was my understanding on the Gordon signing.
That would work well until Latrell matures.
