I grew up in Newcastle pre-Knights so had to pick a Sydney team. Everyone at our primary school were mad for collecting and swapping footy cards. My favourite card was Noel Cleal who looked like a Ned Kelly bush ranger which I was studying at school. So Easts it was and still is.

I've always thought of Easts supporters as the cultured "beautiful people" of rugby league so have modestly always felt right at home.

Never supported any other team but the mighty roosters! I started to follow the team back in 1977 and have never ever thought of supporting anyone else. Love the colours and love the jersey.
I was 14 years old when we lost that grand final to the dogs and was devastated. It took another 20 years to see us make a grand final again.
There will never be any other team for me.

Seriously Johnny pull your head in. Better still delete your comment as it's very offensive to all women.

Been a Rooster since 74, my great great Grandfather played for the Dragons and the Kangerooos, George Bluey Carstairs, my dad was a bit of a legend in the Canterbury, Wests junior leagues, only played 1 first grade game for Wests after playing 3rds and reserves beforehand, was a late inclusion after a player failed to arrive, he is still filthy as his debut and only game was never recorded, tried to convert me to a magpie, no chance in hell, my gods are tragic, they have no choice

Rosie Batty: Anti domestic violence campaigner, Mental health advocate, Australian of the year, dealt worst possible hand and turned it into a positive. An inspirational human.

Rooster for life for me. I used to like Balmain a bit too, but went off them when they merged. And like a few, I've stayed loyal to Newtown, even though the club saw fit to abandon them. Can't get excited about Wyong!

Johnny's comments on the internet are the equivalent of wingers and hookers baiting props since the no punch rule came into effect.

When I was 6 my best friend who was a couple of years older tried to make me go for Manly.

But my first footy card was a card of big Artie and I liked the colours of the jersey. So I started to follow Easts by listening to the results on the 2BL radio my dad listened to. Always waiting for how Easts went.

1980 is my first real memories of seeing them in action. The wild rollercoaster of beating the Magpies in the pf through to the following week of losing to Canterbury Bankstown cemented me as a Rooster for life.

It was a long wait for that bitter memory to be wiped. I honestly thought at times I would never see the Roosters play in a gf let alone win a premiership. The knights game in 2000 went a long way to wiping that pain away with the 2002 gf finally allowing me to live that dream.
