Another thing that goes deep I reckon is our total lack of patience. We want to make all plays the winning play instead of building pressure after pressure and just letting the other lot fall to bits. This leads I think to our terrible ball handling skills and everyones-a-hero individualistic approach. Then when the wheels fall off the heads go down and we let in three consecutive quick-fire tries to the oppo instead and our gameplan is ****ed therein.

The thing is, we exhibited this trait even when Fittler was playing. I sometimes used to scream 'CALM BLUE OCEAN, CALM BLUE OCEAN' (its a simpsons reference) at them when they were attacking the oppo line and we were behind by a try, or needed to secure another try to be assured of victory. The 2004 GF is a massive case in point I think. So this has been going on for years and years and who is the coach now?!

Stsae says we need a psych and he's not far wrong. When we won in 2002 Ricky had them going to YOGA lessons (which they probably needed just to cope with mister intensity coaching them) - but it's another great place to learn to rid your mind of clutter and get your head on straight.

And Freddy please get off the Mulimbimby madness. The only explanation I've got for Anasta==fullback.

Great post Stimpy I couldnt agree more.

I still reckon alot of our probs come from the change of captain. Fitzy is a calm character, Bwaiff is prone to panic when it hits the fan. I questioned making Fitzy captain originally but he really grew into the role and the kids we have really respect the bloke. I dont know if everyone in the team even like Bwaiff let alone respect the bloke.

Theres been more than one occasion ive seen Bwaiff create an opportunity but take the wrong option, usually when we are in a close game.

His intensity can be his downfall IMO, and that flows thru our team from what ive seen.
