I think Jake will be playing a lot less minutes next year if Keary is first choice 5/8 because Watson will be in the 17 & I doubt he will interchanging with Keary.

You need to get off this site for a while it's getting to you,Jake was showing great leadership by standing up to a bully,the biggest thug in the game ,Gallen ! The NRL killed the Roosters season not Jake! We have lost so many close ones this year with no halves in the team ,to blame Jake all the time is ludicrous , when your go forward is non existent it's hard for any one to shine ! You put Jake on the open market there would be bidding war!

Jake made 70 tackles on Saturday. Not sure if the information that flows around here is correct a lot of the times but if there's truth as to Hastings attitude or inability to make the right choices then as the senior player and captain Friend takes it upon himself to give Hastings few chances. Let's face it, Hastings hadnt been as effective as when Maloney was next to him....
With that said, it's been well mentioned that Friend is no captain material. He doesn't get respect from the officials and doesn't look like he's able to rally the players when the chips are down... What drove Robbo to make him and Pearce co captains is a mystery. Yet he persists with Friend... If McGuire is able to remove Long time vermin legend Sutton as captain, why is Robbo reluctant or unable to make a tough call like this?

If and I emphasise if Friend was 'refusing' to pass to Hastings, he would be doing it under instructions from Robinson.

Anyone who believes that a first grade footballer would deliberately defy his coaches orders (and still be in top grade the next week) is living in a fantasy world.

I was furious when Latrell copped a lot of head patting after errors earlier in the year so I don't want to be a hypocrite when we start dishing it out (even if Gallen is a grub). I agree with JT lets hold our standards high. I don't want this to be part of our team culture.

I think it's disgusting. Gus wrote on it in his set of six a couple of weeks back and I agree 100%.

So disappointing one of ours did it. And the skipper to boot.

Like I posted earlier the NRL caved into all the do good mothers who threaten not to let their sons play because they wouldnt like to see their little boy get punched or shoulder charged. So all this tapping on the opponents head & slapping has crept into the game & it is embarrassing.
The game shouldn't buckle to the mummies of sons who would never make first grade & they should allow the softening up period & let players get violent in the heat of the battle & educate all the mummies that it is a combat sport played by tough men that like the physical confrontation. It's a bit like boxing you are going to get hit & you have to hit back & if you are not into that then dont play it or watch it.
