I'd love to say we were robbed, but this time we worked ourselves over with errors. Plain and simple... every time we were in an attacking position we coughed the ball up. In most of these situations the Sharks jumped on the ball and ran 40m. You can't do that then say you were robbed...
If anything we're lucky JWH wasn't binned or put of report! Need to watch a replay but I swear he punched somebody in the head.

What sticks out more than the drop balls and pass pushers, is how quickly the ref couldnt wait to blow a pen for the sharks, against friend and pearce spring to mind which i had to rewind to believe what i was seeing, doesn't happen when grub sharks are in the tackle, hand on the ball. No consistency, one team is reffed one way at 12 nil. Sharks were panicking.
Likewise, those commentators can't seem to judge whats happening infront of them either, i've even heard Alexander rave on about how nice Ennis his future fox colleague is. Last week souths half went down for a leg rub while on the defence and Fox were up in arms HE CAN'T DO THAT. Barba did the same last night and not a peep. Cronulla, Brisbane, Canberra are their chosen ones, it's a sickening FOX jizzathon when those sides start scoring. I thought Nein was bad!

We weren't up to scratch tonight, didn't respect the ball, didn't earn the right to play expansive because we didn't generate enough continuous pressure, thought our first 15 mins were great but the attitude changed as soon as they scored their first fluke try.
This being said, I definitely think there's something going on with the Sharks this year, it's like their brand of footy is being weaved into the way the game is being reffed which gives them an advantage in every game they play.
For example
1. I have not seen a skinnier 10 nor a side not penalised for a ridiculous amount of niggle which caused slow play the balls. We were definitely not angels last night, but penalty count should have been even worst case, they are merchants at clinging on to the ball and wrestling.
2. Refs not taking stronger action on altercations, they seemed to let everything go including punches to the face which I was almost certain means 10 in the bin now days, again refereeing to sharks style.
I'm also not sure how they manage to secure their young guns like Holmes, feki & jack bird to long term 4&5 year deals whilst still having cap space to acquire & maintain marquee players like, Lewis, barba, Maloney, ennis - Gal would be on a huge contract as well.
Yes maybe it sounds like I'm a rooster fan having a whinge - but I really don't think it's fair is being continually bashed by the media around salary caps when other clubs seem to be able to hold on to their rosters far longer than we can. A poke around the Sharks books would not be a waste of time imho
