We don't have the culture in place to keep us at the top for extended periods.
I've said it before, I envy clubs like Melbourne, Brisbane and Canterbury. To be able to be competitive year in year out for extended periods is great for your fans. I know the Broncos have got plenty of coin but money does not always bring success. You look at the clubs who go over the cap and most of the time there the lower ranked team.
You need that attitude and mindset that we don't have. We are either competing for comps or competing for the spoon. There no middle ground. We're either brilliant or we are SHIT
I hope Thursday night is not one more hammering for the road. Realistically, same as last week. Broncos have a top 4 spot to play for.
Plus sending off Parker. Prob 45000 inbred fans.
As for 2017. We need a lot more mental toughness. Hard with many youngsters in the team. Also need luck with draw, injuries, refs, bunker. We are also a few signings short of a good squad. Concerned I feel the cap is maxed out.
While you may think we don't have the culture to maintain sucess we also don't have the culture to be consistent failures, not like $ouff$.
If the cost of continual success is to be like Melbourne or Brisbane then I will take the occasional off season thanks

I am convinced we will be just as bad next year based on out current squad and recruitment.
Have to agree although keen to see how we recruit before next season.
I think Friend has seen better days and if this season has been any indication I can't see a form change for the better.
Throw in Guerra and Moa as well.
I didnt see it coming but in hindsight I do.
We are the best 15th place team the NRL has ever had.
If we only have SST unavailable at the start of next year I think the Roosters can make the top 6, I believe Robbo is a top coach & if he has all of his players available they will be very competitive.

Personally I saw this coming and alluded to it in a thread last year about predictions for this season I saw the wriring on wall the way we lost to Brisbane and then having the misfortune of watching our feeder team Wyong lose to Newcastle in the NSW Cup GF in what was truly the most painful game of rugby league ive seen. Next year on what we have I would say anything from 7Th to 12th

The trip to England via Dubai did the damage - the party boy element in the off seasons continued there until Australia Day.The so called experienced group a huge disappoint in 2016. Robbo's 5 star jaunt to Dubai best if it was in the desert- would have worked wonders for their fragile/ apathetic mind set seen in 2016.
