Just reported that david mead was on 330k at the titans and has signed at the broncos for 130k to explore a different option??? Can anybody really believe that someone would take a 200k pay cut to move 40min up the road?

No wonder napa is on the radar when the can pick him up for 90k. Gillett also re-signed for 4 years.

Really? The cap auditor permits a voluntary $200k pay cut and detects no foul odour? Unbelievable.

Especially as David Mead wouldn't have a real lot of years in NRL left and he decides to take a pay cut. When in your mid to late 20s you want a decent sized payday.

He will probably live in a nice house in Bris Vegas and be driving a flash car too.

Of more interest to me is that the vermin are looking to kick the Roosters junior clubs out of the souff sydney junior competition. Amongst the reasons cited was the "defection" of Nat Butcher to the Roosters.

I'm with you Tommy. Despise is the word. They get to play 90% of games Friday night. They are mad Cap cheaters. Bleat on about how there is only room for one NRL club in Brisbane, and have the audacity to appeal James Roberts suspension for the most blatant kicking we will ever see.
I'm actually surprised the NRL didn't let him off.

I really hope another Club gets off the ground up around Brisbane. Just so they don't get it all their own way in regards to junior areas.

After last year, I'll safely presume that certain players are on a very tight...forgive the word..leash this offseason.

I think an offseason of the Roosters being on the back page of the paper rather than the front would be a good thing.

I guess any major signings this club pulls off will have impact for 2018 and 19 Get Taumoloeggthrower champion and Frizzel would be a good balanced signing.Those two I would chase .
