    We must not go back.
    We must go forward.

Surely there's a talent scout with a 'fresh face' we could employ. [if POS goes]

Anyone that thinks POS is still not running the show is in denial.

The best recruitment guys are great at stealth tactics anyway, sitting in the shadows and signing the unknown, the best and most talented scouts are not even known, they work for these guys, POS is still in control

I'll keep an eye out for any talent on the north Gold Coast. I'm fairly qualified...I'll just use my kids brown lunch bags.

Cleal will not be back. Burnt that bridge long ago. His only claim to fame signing was handed to him on a platter. Cleal is useless! ...even though POS has been deregisted, he will still be on our payroll. He will be active behind the scenes, just won't be our "official" recruitment guy.

Isn't Mark Hughes without a gig these days?

Speak of the devil, and then he lobs on the couch with Sterlo.

For those who missed it , it was riveting stuff. We found out some of the secrets of the greatest talent scout in the game.
Sterlo was in his best Daryl Sommers interviewing form, pissing in Cleal's pocket and begging for insights into what make a famous talent scout tick.
He mentions that Cleal's greatest success was Jamie Lyon and asked how that went down.

Apparently Cleal received orders to go and secure this Lyon character as another talent scout had planned to sign him up the next day.
Cleal says "Duuuuuhhhh, ok " , and arming himself with Parramatta's cheque book, drives off to "discover" Jamie Lyon.
There was some confusion when he arrived as Lyon was wearing a different number to what was listed in the programme, but our hero sorted that out with the help of the locals.

So perhaps we should forgive Cleal for all his sins, bad attitude and lack of loyalty.
                  The man is a genius.

LOL. My favourite rooster when he played for us though.

Reminds me of when we signed Kurt Sherlock. Artie was actually sent to try and sign Zinzan Brooke. He got confused and brought the wrong all black because of a similar name.

                  Not that I am complaining.

We wouldn't have won a comp with Brooke - but Sherlock gave us hours of entertainment and the laughs continue to this day.

I know someone who drinks with a lot Manly players and off field staff.
I don't know how much he knows but he claims Cleal is not all he is cracked up to be. He said he basically was the face and others found the talent.
From what I have seen with Manly and Canterbury over the last few seasons that info looks correct.
We don't seem to have trouble finding talent and don't need him here.
