Yeah I guess considering they're not going to sack the entire board, and granted all the money Nick Politis funnels into the club (and attracts) nobody's going to ask him to step down any time soon. I think like many bosses... he's the boss... and we've gotta accept his leadership and get on with our job (in that I speak of "us" as being the Roosters community; coaches, players, fans...etc).

Maybe this season will give everybody a good old fashioned humbling and force them to work hard in the off-season. I hate to call this season a dead horse, and want us to play with honour however we go this season (that's a big difference between us and the sharks... we don't lose by a big margin then get fined $10 000 for calling some bit islander a "black c___"... we always play with honour, and that's something I respect about the Roosters.)

But yeah... hopefully this season gives us a humbling. We're already losing some big name players (know that already) so it'll be a chance for a BIG re-shuffle of players. I still trust Freddie... I want him to have another year at it... if we're still failing next season then his contract will have expired and may not be renewed. But for now... last season we came 4th with a VERY similar team. Maybe we just need a humbling, a solid off-season and a bit of a re-shuffle of players?

Fark you are dumb. Freddys contract expires THIS year, 2009.

The Roosters are currently second from bottom on the ladder, and, with Fittler off contract at the end of the year, speculation has mounted over his future.

Although Noyce admitted the club and Fittler have yet to discuss a new deal, he said there has been no contact with anyone else about the job.

“Freddie (Fittler) and I work together in the same building, we talk a lot about what we need to do short term and what we need to focus on and we'll know when the time is right to discuss the future,'' Noyce said.

“I work and talk with him every day and we are focused on getting wins on the board.''
