Yeah mission statement, it's a business term that's probably a little beyond you. So in short, where do the nrl publicly say that they want to play pass the parcel with the premiership? Just because nobody has gone back to back to since the Broncos doesn't validate your point, you are just like BUDDY boy and gloss over the points that negate your conspiracy theory.

I'm copping this crap off you without even airing my conspiracy theory.
Would you prefer if I only start threads on things you agree with?
Go do some research and you'll probably find plenty of statements from the nrl that validate all my points. They sure haven't made a secret of it.
Wonderful businessmen like you shouldn't be lazy.................go make research your new mission statement.

But your a smart savvy business man/woman aren't you? You just introduced the term missionary position statement. Then you belittle someone you don't even know who they are or what they do. I will introduce a term kpi i mean kpee'$ khunt performancing enhancing erectikators?
Im not $aying there is a conspiracy in the NRL but as a $mart busine$$ man or woman you understand the need to grow your brand and the best way to grow the brand is to get supporters thinking their team is a chance and getting new areas and regions which may have never won a comp or won one for a long time to be in a shot of winning one.
Granted there was 7-8 years of the Storm Manly duopoly or add to it Roosters oligopoly, now those are big words, are you surprised a ignoramus like myself can vaguely understand those worrrrrds without the need to refer to a thesaurus rex or the Macquarie Dicktionari duuuude? It is quite possible that the NRL would prefer teams to win in fairtale fashion like Dragwueens in 2010 $ouffs in 2014 Cowgirls in 2015 and Peptides in 2016 as it means more mooolah in the coffers and there is a larger net profit. Therefore the balance $heet and p&l look better and the business types in powerful positions can $pruke themselves silly once they meet their perfomance objectives.
I dont think its orchestrated to an nth degree but you cannot blame people for thinking something doesnt smell quite right.
Anyway we all have differring views on this and Boogie Man you aint going to win the argument or lose it as their is no proof the comp is manufacturing premiers but you aint going to produce evidence to convince some of us here that the competition aint tainted.
But keep calling all of us on here morons please. It makes us feel happy and relevant Duuuuuuewwwwde.Last edited by Mad_Rooster_in_GraceLand; 10-05-2016, 11:23 PM.Originally posted by King Salvo 'Tedesco and Woods will be more than likely Dogs signings but both will give Tigers last shot - we are not in the race anymore'

The whole issue gets back to one issue - LACK of CONSISTENCY .
Whether it be Decision making or Interpretation.
Whether it be Single ref or Dual ref misinterpretations.
Whether it be On field or Bunker blunders.
Whether it be Judiciary or Integrity.
Whether it be Free flowing or Momentum changing.
If these are addressed there will be no issue, as there will be no Grey areas.

I know I'm a bit out of touch.
People say to me "Eddie get with the times , league is a business these days, not a sport".
Explains why the nrl is more concerned with profits and TV ratings than running the game properly.
Their "mission statement" is money, money, money, money, money......................
The poor titans had no hope.
No one was gonna come between the nrl and another cowboys/broncos pty ltd blockbuster.
Where will this end up?
Viewers of high rating telly shows like rock/n/roll nrl come and go.
Fans of individual clubs are forever.
If the nrl doesn't kill the goose that layed the golden egg, it's definitely running the risk of breaking its freakin legs.
Mission statement complete.

Cool.
your post wasn't up when I typed in the above.
I won't insult you by saying something like "great minds think alike" , coz I was thinking of Mr Crabs when I was typing in moneymoneymoney etc.

I got 3 good reasons to think that way, but I haven't delved into conspiracy theories..........................yet.

The NRL comp has turned into a sick.joke They make the rules up as they go along on and off the field Why do I.still.follow it Simple it has been a part of my life for as long as I remember I go to less games now didnt buy a season ticket this year and probably wont next year I turn the tv off when at home when i see sickening decisions made and if at the pub just tune out and watch the racing or some other sport they are showing I fall asleep on the couch during so called blockbuster games as my interest has waned to not caring who wins or loses unless we are involved Finally and most alarmingly to the NRL I dont encourage my Daughter to follow it or get emotionally involved in it I completely agree with EddieLast edited by Andrew Walker; 10-07-2016, 07:00 PM.When you trust your television

Perhaps I received a lengthy reply in an apologetic tone that explained everything?
Perhaps they sent some hired goons around to try and silence me?
Alas , there's some things I can't reveal.

Good post, but it kinda makes me sad.
I've heard a lot of similar cases where parents now don't bother trying to instil any passion for their club or the game with their kids.
Another advantage to AFL-mad victorians.
I'm sure the nrl would be much better than them in producing high rating soap operas however.
