Amazing how no club wants to touch him because of this perception that he's toxic to team culture.

He's still just a kid who will mature with time. Given the shortage of halves right across the competition it's amazing no one is willing to take a chance on him

I rate Hastings. Would love to keep him and think he will be a very good half. Look at all the drop kicks that can find clubs on third, fourth and fifth chances.. The fact that no one will touch Hastings makes me think he must be a tier 1 flop off the field.

I posted on the thread Hastings about Robbos position at the club & spirit of 66 replied with this

I'll put all your future posts at the top of my watch list and look forward to future inside information.

I then sent him a PM saying to him
I dont have any connections within the Roosters hierarchy but I work at David Jones in Market street & Nick Polititis who lives in the city comes into the store & I served him the day after the Chooks were beaten by Melbourne 46-0 earlier this year. I said to him that I have followed the Roosters my whole life & that I was disappointed in the effort that the team put in against Melbourne which he agreed with. He was very receptive & we spoke for around 10 minutes. Some of the talk was on Pearce & Hastings who he said are both immature & that Hastings was loopy, I then put it to him that the Roosters have a habit of sacking coaches when things go pear shaped & that I thought Robinson was a good coach & he replied (& this is where my mail came from) that Trent had a contract for life at the Roosters & that they were not going up that path of sacking coaches for a quick fix. He said TR is what the Roosters need because TR is a very stable, mature, calm & smart person.
Read into that what you like.

        Cheers

loopy was the word Nick used so if your loopy you get put in the to hard basket & no matter how much of a legend his dad was for the club the club does not want him & it appears no other club wants him either.

Loopy would not be a word I would use to describe Hastings.

Peculiar, narcissistic, maybe even OCD but not loopy??

I am a fan. The lack of speed he showed this year is a concern. But he is sufficiently smart to want and is capable of improvement. One day I feel he will be a successful FG half driving a team around the paddock with authority. Worth a punt for any club. Catalans gives him a chance to grow up and come back a polished half without the pressures of carrying his father's name.

I would have thought a bloke like you who is in the know would get on the alcapone & ring Jackson personally & ask him yourself.
Otherwise get Nick or Trent on the blower & ask them, they will know.

He'll come back at 26, Pearce will have been seen off and we'll get Hastings in his prime. It took his father a while to become the best halfback never to wear green and gold.

I really think it would be very hasty to stamp.both of these 2 players as not being capable NRL players in the future.

Ive seen enough from them in lower grades to suggest their is no reason why they will do well at NRL level one day.

I think Niko is broken mentally and a season or two in lower grades will benefit him in the long run. He is extremely talented but will them club be patient with him? I think not.
Hastings is a different storey, for no club to show any interest in him says something.

What is the latest with young Nikorima?

Some said the dude was galavanting overseas while the 20s when on the charge to win the NYC.

Also now that the club have also signed Mitch Cornish does that mean Mitch and Tyler are the halves for Wyong?

I like Nikorima but i dont see he has much of a future at the club even at Wyong and that is a shame.
